Some positives then: Swansea threw away a lead as well I know there are lots of negatives too, but that's not what my comment is for so there :P Boro still have Burnley and Sunderland to play at home but the rest are road games or top tier opposition. It's hard to see them getting above 30 points. Interestingly, Boro's and Sunderland's game in hand is against each other so, again, not a lot of help for either team coming (of course ours is against red hot Spurs). We have our destiny very much in our hands vis a vis Hull, because of the home game to come. However, Swansea is still a worry because of the softness of their remaining schedule.
We don't do possession; we do defense and attack. Everything else is just wa**ing with a football. |

Bad result, not the worst we've ever played though, more worried about the knock to our confidence than anything. Feels more like old times though, beat Chelsea then lose to Southampton, just wish there wasn't so much at stake. Luka's free kick was good, so was Punch's (I can see him scoring soon, I feel it in me bones), we've needed some of that, corners were a bit s*** though, need to work on that. Flamini? Is he so unfit that no manager wants to bring him on for a whole half? Agree he should have come on instead of Sako. Zaha was fouled all game but I do think he needs to try to stay on his feet more (runs for cover). WH not looking too bad, Benteke starting to look dangerous, Townsend working his bollocks off. Ref decisions mostly going our way for a change (excluding the foul on Wilf), more positives than negatives I reckon, shame the main negative was losing 3-1 though.
Bangell - If Camus wrote The Myth of Sisyphus today, it would be about Jason Puncheon eternally trying and failing to pass with his right foot. |

Not too grim imo if we have 17 shots in every game till the end of the season I'm sure we'll pick up enough points!

We were absolutely knackered. Could see that from the first couple of mins when Long almost scored. We move on, rest up and get ready to take on Arsenal on Monday. f***ing M3 is closed as well so long drive home after that loss. Edited by Brentmiester_General (05 Apr 2017 10.35pm)

The knock to confidence is a problem but in all honesty how many points did we think we would get from Chelsea and Southampton - before last Saturday I would have taken 1 point - we have 3! Edited by The Dolphin (06 Apr 2017 6.05am)

Edited by Brentmiester_General (05 Apr 2017 10.35pm) what concerns me is there is only 1 more day between southampton and arsenal then there was chelsea and southampton. not much difference and cause to be 'knackered' again come monday eve.
