Much better performance, the sort of impact I had expected to see a little earlier. Everyone seemed to know their role and played with purpose.

My only criticism of Allardyce is that he should have subbed Schlupp earlier as he had started to struggle well before he was injured.

Overall plenty to be positive about.

the dignified don't even enter in the game

I'd like to keep Hennessey, Speroni will no doubt be offered something with the club. Remy would be an easy decision if it weren't for the injury record.

The problem is with our large wage earners like Cabaye or Benteke if we go down.....I can see big Sam getting rid of Townsend this transfer window.

How much are we going to get for Cabaye and Benteke....I can see big losses on Benteke....I don't see us selling Tomkins and he will probably be a top performer in the championship.

We don't need to get rid of Benteke if we stay up. We have a free game in the FA Cup next, we then have Bournemouth on transfer deadline day and then Sunderland.

Things will look very different in 4 games time. They may be better, they may be worse, but the team and the table will be different.

Thought we looked well balanced today. Starting tactics were spot on and I was enjoying it until Remy went off. At that point our shape changed and we were easily pushed back.
Welcome to Jeffrey.. a good debut until what looked like cramp got him. I thought the ref was good until the Jeffery injury. Yes, he was off the pitch but he did sneak back on. Ref could have held up play when the ball went out to investigate.
The goal then came from the area Jeffrey had been covering so well. Sod's Law?

We move in the direction of our thoughts.
Just think a little.

Yes we would. Keeping all those men behind the ball is hardly rocket science. We had two shots on target because our attacking players had no support.

No one goes anywhere with a leaky defence and two shots on target.

Thought the decision to bring Lee on instead of Townsend was a really poor one.

Also Puncheon playing so deep when McArthur is much better than him when the opposition have possession.

I feel sorry for Wayne. It would do his confidence good to get a clean sheet in a league game.

Why Townsend has been crap in most games, no reason today would be any different.

Still doesn't create enough - and PLEASE get rid of those awful floated corners that are just so easy for the keeper to come and catch. We can see it - why can't the manager / coaches as this happens every game? Whip it in!!

Because he's a much better player than Lee and can actually move the ball forward. Townsend has been disappointing but Lee has been awful and his first instinct is to pass the ball backwards or sideways.
