They showed the replay after the match and it was clear both Cabaye and MacArthur should have got closer to the Chelsea players in the middle, and Puncheon and Ward allowed way too much space to the crosser.

The commentary here, and analysts blamed them. Not Hennessey or Dann. I'd agree.

If you come to a fork in the road, take it.

Didn't see alot of the game today, but from what I did see, we just didn't seem to threaten at all.

..could be the reason why Chealsea are nine points clear, but then again what do I know...we had reasonable opportunities but he ball failed to bounce for us, it took the ball to bounce just once for them ..so I think Pardew needs to be skinned alive, boiled for three hours and served up with piranhas and scotch bonnet, that should sort him out.

I like the posts from inapickle.

Why can't other posters be equally positive and optimistic?

We weren't so far away from nicking a point.

Sorry, but that'll be the result of a perfect cross, not bad positioning.

Dann to blame for the goal. If he'd have attacked the cross instead of watching Costa they wouldn't have scored. Didn't even get off the ground..

That was our best performance for quite a while! Defensively we were much more organised and looked solid again. Hennessey played very well and made some outstanding stops. Chelsea's defence was the key and really snuffed out everything we tried but against a lesser team we would have got much more today. With a piece of luck we might have got a point, but our luck has been very thin in recent times. There is no reason why that will continue though so every reason for optimism.

..hard to blame anyone for that goal, in actual time I shouted out keeper get it! But then on reply I shouted at Dann to challenge, to go back to the cross and blame the players around for allowing it means the cross and execution was exceptional and out of the ordinary ....the sole reason they are nine points clear, one chance and bang.

Defencivly chelsea looked stunning. We were never putting anything past them without some kind of total fluke.
I still think we have sorted ourselves out now. Its just frustrating it has taken so long.
We are in for a stressful month or so while we are down here but nothing about us in the last few games tell me we are in big trouble

Didn't look like 3 at the back more like 5!

That's pretty much how I read it, Dann could have backed in a bit harder but nothing the keeper could do about it. If our best cross had cleared the defender Benteke would have scored as well. Other than that they didn't create much until we chased it a bit harder in the final twenty.
I didn't think we were great but then neither were they, looked like two teams cancelling each other out. Chelsea are a very different proposition defensively than any other team in the league and, as the stats showed before the game, have had a very settled side. No disgrace today but 1-0's are always the most frustrating of defeats.

Thought we played pretty well apart from Benteke. What a lazy arse! If you compare how he played at Villa with how he's performing now it's a disgrace. It's a shame Wickham is injured as if I was Pardew I'd drop him to give him a kick up the arse.

Yes, he's scored a few goals but Palace has always been about giving 100%. AJ was the epitome of what the club is about. He worked his socks off every game.
