Plan A has been consigned to the dustbin and we are now playing Plan B, which took us the last half of last season and a transfer window to evolve. I'd be interested to know what folk think Plan C is because I have no idea.

From the highlights it looks like the first and third goals were deflection goals.

Edited by Asian Eagle (22 Oct 2016 7.34pm) Picking random points of a season to suit your agenda. We just lost to the champions, who are unbeaten at home for 20 games. Calm down and have a w***

Something is badly wrong with how we start matches - we've now conceded first in 7 of our 9 league games. Not to start the whole keeper debate again, but, putting aside the moronic 'Steeeeve' chant, has Mandanda really been convincing yet? I was certainly expecting more from him. No clean sheets, goals against Bournemouth, 'Boro and Sunderland were all stoppable, and he didn't even bother moving for those against Everton, W Ham and for two today. Also, nearly conceded a goal in the first minute today with his messing about. Not helped by the absence of Dann and Souare, but if Hennessey had been in goal then he'd have been ripped apart by certain people on this board.

We have come a long way in a very short time, today was poor except for the first 25 mins. I am not a big fan of changing managers but something is not quite right is it? I was never in favour of AP when appointed but have grown to respect the job he is doing. Our recent record is not good and our performance today typified that record. Wish I had the answers but cant put my finger on the problem.

Pardew has the best win rate since Bruce who was only in the job five minutes.

My worry is we're relying on benteke too much, and after the last couple of games looks like that could be a problem. If we're going to play one up front we need the midfield to chip in with goals. I know cabaye scored today, but need more from him, wilf, townsend and puncheon.

Some hysterical comments in this thread. My two cents are thus.. I believe we should have beaten west ham no doubt about it. Their form has been abysmal and we were the home side. That was a disappointing result. Leicester city obviously had a fantastic season last year but I think they are like water in the sense they are now finding their own level this year and are not the force they were last season. Let's face it if we had been back in the championship Play I/ them we would have all been of the consensus that it would be a difficult game. What I feel most with Palace is you never know which team is going to turn up. Not expecting to beat Liverpool next week but wouldn't be surprised if we did. We have been a bit of a bogey team for them in the past and they have a mid week game plus the travel down which could be to our advantage . We currently reside mid table. We could find our form again and keep our heads afloat there but people are very naive to think that we won't potentially be in trouble by new year with the run of fixtures we have if we don't start picking up points soon.

How can anyone describe the performance as " pathetic " ..yep and during that good first half spell I actually tingled with excitement and anticipation, really thought we would go on and win ..the team played some beautiful stuff today, Leicester really did dig in and showed us how to finish and finish a game, hope our club took it all in and learned from this.

That is my point, never know what your going to get. I really don't fear for us at all just wish we could be a tad more consistent.
