We all know the qualities that Benteke brings to the game and his goalscoring record.

Regards the "Negatives" he has had a tendency to be caught offside too many times and he can be inconsistent.Sometimes his touch can be poor and at times his lack of interest is apparent.

Wow wow wow , benteke to palace , someone pinch me even though I knew this was coming, told two guys on the train on the way home from cup final, think they thought I was drunk lol , but I had heard a strong rumour he was our number one target before cup final, don't matter where from but its true, anyone that thinks Christian benteke isn't worth it will eat lots of humble pie over the season should he sign IMO, he is a world class striker aged 25, do people think Mr parish has lost his marbles and all of a sudden undo all the hard work put in since he took over, it was inevitable sooner rather than later we would have to increase our budget just to compete, we got away with it last year just, SP knows its a decent piece of business much like the other signings, the club have shown their intent to compete this term and they have a plan above all, which is so refreshing, but some choose to stay firmly in the dark ages of championship football and can't wait for us to fail, been supporting the club and going to selhurst for 44 years and never have I been more excited and proud of my team, early business means more time to gel etc, nothing is guaranteed for sure but Christian benteke would be amazing for palace and I think if we add some add on's to our bid and maybe up it by 2 million we will get our man, come on guys , we should be concentrating on doing our bit and getting selhurst rocking and a Wales like mentality that we had before the bad run at the end of the season
