There a lot of negative views on this thread but I think we need to look at the facts. Our strikers have scored a massive total of 0 goals from open play this season in the PL. I agree with those that say a lot of this is down to our set up (using the wings more) but having said that a decent striker will still mop up and score a few goals during these period. I can't see how we can lose by taking EA on a short term deal. How on earth can he do any worse that our current crop have and there is no way he can destroy our spirit in such a short space of time. I would suggest scoring no goals in the last few PL games is more soul destroying and is leading to a confidence issue throughout the team. EA could be the boost and catalyst we need and to be frank beggars can't be choosers at the moment. Despite our great first half of the season, let's not forget we are still Crystal Palace.

Not sure why speculation is continuing regarding Adebayor when Pardew dismissed the rumours ages ago - Alan is not interested in him.

Yet he has been on the market for a couple of years and no-one has been interested enough to take him and he has preferred to continue picking up his high wages and not play football rather than the alternative of earning less money but playing every week Even if true (and it's conjecture) I don't really give a rat's arse about what he's done in the past or why he's done it. What I care about is a). now, and b). Palace. People make mistakes. People learn from them. Bottom line: He's a fantastic player in a position where we have next to nothing. He's low risk. He's got a point to prove. We have absolutely nothing to lose. If you think he'll come in and wreck the dressing room, then you can't think much of the strength of our dressing room. Brilliant signing if it happens. Easily the highest quality player we could get. And once he's playing for a club where everyone is behind him, in my view watch out...

Not sure why speculation is continuing regarding Adebayor when Pardew dismissed the rumours ages ago - Alan is not interested in him. Things have moved on, certainly moved on from what I was informed about a week ago. Pardew is now saying that Adebayor is "In the mix" and that generally Palace have to work within a small market.
