Given Venky's track record owning Blackburn, there's no way I'd pay them 6 million even if this guy is the second coming. I can't get the mental picture of that chicken running out onto the pitch at Ewood as they headed towards the drop. Time to move on, nothing to see here. Suddenly, the price has shifted down from Venkys to £5m. If Palace move up from £3.5m, then a deal is possible between £4-5m

I know they have an embargo, but does that include loan deals too?

Under embargo, they can loan a player pay his wages but not a loan fee. If they transfer a player out they can take another player but his wage must be 75% or less of player leaving or 600K which ever is lower

The venkys are hard strapped & haemorrhaging money there want to drive a hard bargain even play out a bidding war generate other teams are interested which may be the case or not anything to drive the price up which will ultimately prolong. But parish is no fool & will realise all this & will stay strong himself to get a fair deal & not be ripped off. The window is a crazy time with silly money being thrown about early doors. Patience is a virtue with the art of negotiation & not been had early in the window.

Not being disrespectful but I certainly wouldn't call Parish an expert in the transfer market.

Parish has hopefully learnt his lesson with transfer dealings,it's best to pay the money early doors and sit comfy with the players in the bag.we do look close to doing that with Taylor and forward at Blackburn.Trying to shave money of the deal leaves us open for others to swoop, hopefully Pardew is guiding him.
