Rumours (I repeat, rumours) on FB that we've bid £11.5m for Rhodes.

No idea if it's true but thought I'd share for what it's worth.

Is it April 1st.

Its definitely january, so rumour must be true, init?! The trouble is that this rumour is too good to be true, but lets dream for a bit longer....

if there is any truth in this it would be a Brilliant deal .

dann is a very good defender and jordan is still young 23 i belive if we was to stay up and have these two then rhoads and gayle could be a very good front paring for years to come

surely we would need to sell to afford 11.5m? Don't think we have that amount to spend

There is no way we will spend £11.5m on one player this season. If we stay up, build a strong established Premiership team then in a couple of years we may be in a position to blow half our budget on one player but not this season. Besides it will not take a bit that high to get him. Trust me, Blackburn are in huge financial trouble and will probably end up accepting less than what they paid for him up front with add ons. With this player (because of his clubs circumstances) its definitely a buyers market.
I did not think he was 23 though. I read a couple of articles about him in the week, both of which stated he was 26.
Either way he would be a great player to sign. I think he would be able to make the step up.

According to the 'rumour' this amount is for 2 players, Rhodes and Dann.

Very perverse of me, Appologies. Just adding a rumour to a rumour!

How much do you think Dann is worth? I have absolutely no idea. £3m? More?

Theres a snippet in there saying that Stuart Okeafe could be off to Everton, a deal that depends on the Toffies ability to keep hold of Ross Barkley. I hate transfer windows, sad mentality from the fans (mostly) and absolute garbage floating about. Stick with what we've got and add a little where possible, we're holding our own and looking settled ffs.

This post has been merged from a topic called 'blackburn u turn on selling there best player' by Moose

after reading that he was not for sall at any price a few weeks ago it seems that rovers have changed their stance [Link]

he and dann never played in the fa cup against man city .

would love to see us go for theses two i would think we could agree wages and the striker would allways have a good sell on fee given his age so what do we have to lose ?

come on cpfc lets go for it

Your link's not working for me, but I presume you're talking about Rhodes?

In which case there's already a thread on him & Dann here: [Link]

We have not bid £11.5 million on Rhodes. Utter nonsense. Enquires have been made fort Dann, thats no secret and thats ongoing. I would expect Everton or possibly West Brom to put in a bid for Rhodes of around £6/7 Mil plus add ons.
