I think I'm just going to go for a shock accumulator instead of backing favourites.

Crawley to beat Reading - 9/4

Fancy a Crawley team who will be right up for it against a PL side. I think Reading would rather concentrate on staying up in the league than the cup.

Luton to beat Wolves - 13/5

Wolves have been absolute sh*te this year and I fancy Luton to be the big shock of the round. I reckon a Luton win today and that will see the Wolves manager gone.

10/1

Both to score

Ebsfleet v Lincoln
Telford v Southport
Stirling Albion v Queens Park
Clyde v Annan Athletic
Forfar v Stenhousemuir
Dumbarton v Dunfermline

12/1

For a laugh done

Derby 0-1 Tranmere
Bolton 1-1 Sunerland
Swindon 2-0 Carlisle
Spurs 3-0 Coventery

3800/1

Leicester, Man City, Middlesborough and Tottenham all to win is a banker and worth a dabble at evens. Thats my bet this weekend, stick Palace in if you're feeling lucky and we put out a strong team!

Easy money.

FA Cup is always tricky so i'll avoid it completely

Swindon to bt Carlisle - Weekend Banker
Port Vale to bt Plymouth

about 7/4

Wise words above. There's also:

DONCASTER 8/13 vs Colchester (same odds as Port Vale)

Treble is 3.4/1

Edited by Rudi Hedman (05 Jan 2013 9.34am)

Good shout that, Doncaster are better away but seeing as Colchester have lost 7 on the trot Donny should win easy.

Couldn't back Wigan at odds on, Bournemouth are in red hot form, I can see an upset there

Yeah I know. It's tempting though. Best to avoid when there's others probably. I think the FA Cup wins are better focused on Millwall, Sunderland, Stoke, Everton (Sun).

In the end I did a 4 line treble 4fold of

Millwall, Swindon, Port Vale, Doncaster. All 4 won so all 4 lines returned nearly 4/1.

Not surprising our shouts were similar, not many there due to FA Cup. I've done Swindon & PVFC recently. What did you bet in the end? Double of Swindon & Port Vale 7/4, or treble including Donny 3.4/1?

Rudi / PP - have been following this thread over the past couple of weeks, just wanted to say thanks for the treble suggestion today, took a punt on Swindon, Port Vale & Donny - thankfully Donny got their late winner!

Cheers chaps

Just did Swindon and PV - never in doubt

Should have put Donny in but saying that they were lucky and it could have easy been a draw.

I put £70 on and it returned £190

How do you guys normally get on? Reckon your up at all? However much I try, I always find one team that help the bookies to win!

I've been doing better recently since I've staked a little more on fewer games in the bet (more trebles & 4folds rather than 10 team acca's, I never win on them)! Plus, this thread gives decent tips!

Craig Davies is 1/10 on to be Barnsley's top scorer this season with Bet Victor but he's off to Bolton by all accounts and only has 8 for Barnsley. Harewood's available at 10/1, Mellis at 14/1, worth a punt before the odds are all shortened when Davies' transfer becomes common knowledge.

Ah, this is the common mistake of the ordinary punter. As long as you bet at long odds, the less chance your bet will come in. This is how the bookies want you to bet, doing bets that will rarely come in at long odds, they know their risk is low and as long as plenty of people up and down the country are doing it they are cashing in. If you look at betting forms they like you to bet doing 1 from each section, things like that - never bet how the bookie wants you to.

I never do more than 3 selections, 2-3 certs, keep the odds in your favour, i have to bet big but the returns are better.
