I would honestly rather sign no one than some of the cabbages we are getting linked to. I can remember very well the carry on here last year when we didn’t sign Adam Armstrong from Blackburn and look how that has turned out for them. I know it’s a always a gamble singing any player but when we have our small budget we have to be extra careful. No one wants to end up with a team like Everton who signed players for the sake of it. I would be happy if we could just get a decent centre mid in on loan till end of season if that meant we could get some decent stock in the summer. I don’t believe we are in any danger of getting relegated even with no signings at all. Edited by EddieMac (26 Jan 2023 9.46pm)

Lowest spending club in the Premier League. We won't be there much longer. Smaller less established clubs now outspending and outperforming Palace which will ultimately squeeze us out. Yeah but we might have that new stand and a 34k capacity so it’s not all bad…sod the squad it’s all about his legacy!

This window is essentially about panic buying for those teams in the relegation fight and bolstering resources for winning the league or getting into Europe for those with aspirations of achieving their aim. We're in neither group. WE might just get to see a few more cameos from 2 or 3 Academy players before the season's end.

Ive often thought Adama Troure (the wolves player) would be good to have at Palace, he is 27 & his contract is coming to an end - Bags of pace but wolves have never been able to get much out of him (at least not that I have seen) whether thats lack of end product, poor decision making or shabby use of his skills / poor management -

If we don’t start scoring some goals soon, that relegation fight that you say we are not in could soon become a reality. There are teams at the bottom that are going to start climbing the table with new managers and improved sides. We are static, in fact you could say going backward due to injuries. I’m concerned about it even if you are not.

There are rumours that Mateta is leaving, probably to a Turkish club.
