Everybody knows proper people come from Devon, as does cream tea...

Ah, then you have never heard the Cornish say "Proper job, me 'ansum! (which means a well done job). Or drunk the St Austell brewed "Proper Job" which is a fine, hoppy bitter.

Proper cream teas only are to be found to the west of the Tamar, with the cream on the top.

Now when it comes to pasties, well there is just no contest. The quality around here from the local bakeries is stunning and a real treat. Worth the long drive just for them, never mind the beaches and the fishing. I'm hungry! I'll go eat dreckly.

I saw a sticker on a van only today which featured the Cornish flag and this message " Cornish by birth, British by accident, English never".

They take it seriously here, albeit with a smile and the tongue firmly in the cheek. Nevertheless they always support Wales in rugby games against England.

Mmmm...that wouldn't be a long trip then.

Tommy wouldn’t have a chance as I would have 2 milkshakes and a strawberry sundae at the ready.

Speaking of delicious things, do you see the irony here Stirlingsays?

I see someone who is amongst the number who will be blamed by future generations for what's coming down the pipe. That's what I see Maine.

Your hero and idol Farage finally gets something right and it’s a role reversal, with you telling me I fell for his lies.

Only problem is he isn’t lying, UKIP is a joke now and is politically on life support.

Well, UKIP is on life support because of Farage, not because of you lot. If Farage had gone back to it like he should have then it would be fine.

Farage doesn't want to deal with a party that has rules and votes. He wants control......You want to waffle on about Robinson, who isn't even a member and has just been used by Farage as an excuse.

I wonder if a friend or family member of yours had been raped, if you would find rape jokes so amusing?

Yes, I had an aunt who was raped in Brixton forty years ago.

What Sargon sent was the negation of rape. I'm an adult Maine, I can listen to a Ricky Gervais joke about rape and not fall apart. I don't cry about edgy humour or take mock offence. I don't Infantilise women by believing they can't deal with words and I was well aware of the point Sargon was making. The tweet was designed to show just how pathetic society has become with dealing with real life and it was sent to offend Jess Philippa whose anti male behaviour had annoyed him. The 'offence' class, like yourself Maine responded in the predicable way it was spun to you and you have ignored all the context.....the next generation will be laughing at you lot....the counter culture already is.

Like I said, Philips plays the role of victim when it suits her and comes out with her own metaphors like 'knifing Corbyn' when she wants to.......You just fall for it in your search for virtue points.

Disagree, the lefties are far more shouty shouty on here. Steelyeye, that geezer in Holland, Wisbech, Maplesyrup, Maine, all sound off incessantly with their tired old soundbites. It's only really Hrolf and Stirling acting as the counter voices of common sense on a regular basis.

You are more blinkered than a cart horse.

Making rape jokes springs to mind.

Trump lost. Badly. Hahahahahahaha.

Are you fat by any chance?

A number of my ancestors came from Cornwall and Devon around the 1700's and 1800's.

Like the vast majority, many of them moved to the smoke or Australia and America. All the mining and sea related occupations slowly disappeared leaving Cornwall reliant on tourism. I have often considered moving there but I would not move away from my kids yet.

Is not offending people all you care about?

The more we pander to the perpetually offended, the more easily offended people will become. They will also invent new things to be offended by. It's an opportunity for the weak of mind to be heard and feel a bit important.

It doesn't take a psychologist to see that.

Your issue wisbech is you will always be a grockle to many as you weren’t born there.

Same goes for the great state of Maine. You cannot be a “Mainer” unless you were born here, even if you moved here on your second day of life, you don’t count.

I have actually been in Trump country in Atlanta for work for months and will get back to Acadia in 6 weeks, can’t wait.

Trump’s trade war is actually depressing the price of lobsters as exports to Asia are down. I would be happy to pay 15 a pound though as it’s a hard life for a lobsterman.

Not as hard as the lobsters live boiled to death

Sums up the Remain camp. Just look at the list of those involved with this "rag" (of course none of these would ever mis-lead the British public would they)
