I thought it was common knowledge how well palace pay the players. It’s primarily the reason why we have no transfer funds. We tend to spend most of the budget on the players wages. It’s possibly why we sell so few as well. The grass couldn’t be greener for most of the squad.

You’d imagine Luka, Tomkins, McArthur and Clyne will leave in the summer. If they do stay, it will be on vastly reduced wages, I would imagine.

I must say, your first sentiment I do agree with. That irked me massively.

As to being 'further along' I think there is something of merit in that however still just being in the Prem is the first port of call, was by no means guaranteed if even likely and the effort made to achieve/secure that I feel may have impacted our ability to be 'further along'.

Lastly, yes I do agree. Unfortunately, in order to not be 'backwards as a squad' does quite simply take finance in the short term. It's finance I fear we do not have, although I couldn't possibly know for sure, and that just is what it is unfortunately.

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!

Won't get AWB or Antonio. Far too much money for Mr Complacent. Antoine Semenyo would be a good fit, a decent lad from the Erith/Bexley area (I taught him in secondary school) and would surely choose us over the horrible little club that is Bournemouth but again we haven't reacted even though it appears we have been offered some encouragement.
