you want to sing and stand and join in.....will you be given an opportunity to stay in your seat or stay in the block, or will you be dispersed to another part of the ground ?

It can be argued the club’s statement a month ago and the handling of it last spring with no chance given to the the HF proposals and brochure means the ‘okay we’ll support like everyone else’ rather than ‘hissy flounce’ was necessary. That ‘unique opportunity to take 100 seats in B’ was particularly bad. And this was all done with the club and Parish effectively shrugging its shoulders. I’ll again remind anyone that Parish said on hol radio just after the Burnley game, Frank’s sacking and sun rising tweets ‘why can’t all our fans be like the HF, constantly singing and supporting and never moaning about this or that.’ Not at all, of course the club are going to promote a surplus of 100 season tickets, I wouldn't expect anything else. "constantly singing and supporting and never moaning about this or that" - except they have done the exact opposite this season. Those comments were relevant at the time. Not with how this situation has been handled. But it's water under the bridge now and we've hopefully got a solution that keeps most sides happy and the right sort of notice period for ST holders to make other plans. Just hope the club deal with this the way they should and make sure they are all happy come August next year. How can you be against something when we don't know what is being asked of us (I'm in block D) yet? At worst, I suspect that we will be asked to move down half a block. The next big change will be when safe standing is introduced, hopefully at the same time as the new stand being opened. Despite there being more than enough seats for anyone to sit who wants to, this place will be in meltdown.

which means current E Block season ticket-holders could run a [ secret ] campaign whereby they all say "YES... we want to be singers/standers etc." thereby preventing HF moving in. Or will SP still get rid of 100/200 of them even if they genuinely want to stand and sing?

I am interested in how the club keep that singing area going in future years though.

The last thing the club needs is infighting. The sacrifice made by those in Block E will be greatly appreciated by any fair minded supporters and those who want to snipe at those fans being moved should button it. Edited by Hrolf The Ganger (27 Sep 2018 1.46pm)

Edited by Hrolf The Ganger (27 Sep 2018 1.46pm) As nice an image as that is, I dont see that one happening. The key now is that these folks are properly compensated and this situation is made right, as much as possible. The club have a burden on them now, as soon as they made this decision, to properly compensate the fans being asked to move. Fans dont own the seats, the club do, but the club has the power to do this properly and make this as smooth as possible with a proper offer.

this has made me sick to my stomach, that fellow palace fans are celebrating the ejection of other fellow fans from there seats, because they wanted to support the club from the seats they have had for along time, true palace fans think not you lot make me sick shame on you all Blimey, this stance is as bad as the HF's...people dont OWN their seats for any longer then they've PAID for them...so if there are no long term season ticket holders, then they wont be ejected. In fact do long term season tickets actually exist anymore? Bottom line is the club CAN DO WHAT THEY LIKE ; so all of us need to suck it up and get on with it!
