He really has not been given enough credit of the longest Federal shut down in history.

I love this thread....It stands as a testament to the loonies who hate Trump beyond any rational thought.....Don't get me wrong, I get it if you don't like Trump. Reasoned criticisms of anyone are always something to listen to. However.....here on the back pages of this thread you get to read from the minds of some of the most twisted beta male fruitcakes who hate Trump available to us. Here you can read the confident predictions of Trump being guilty over Russian collusion, his illegal deals to defraud the government, the impeachment stuff.....none of it came to fruition.....And where are these posters now? Gone...Gone like the wind, nowhere to be seen because they don't want to account for their crappy predictions. Edited by Stirlingsays (28 Jan 2019 8.31pm)

Furthermore, much of the Republican establishment don't want a wall because they like cheap Mexican gardeners and fruit pickers as much as the Democrats.

They wasted 11bn arguing about it, which will apparently only be a 3bn loss after they've paid the back pay. I don't see how that works either, seeing as not all of those 800,000 employees carried on working while not getting paid. And it's not like he was quite open about doing this in his campaign, which got him elected.

The Democrats will do anything to protect their influx of future voters. Trump actions are purely symbolic.....Even if he manages it...The demographics are set. When the white working and middle classes wake up and feel the economic power shifts that the politicians have enabled for them down the decades......It's going to turn ugly.
