Gives us a better chance in 2 years to get a long term manager. I did not say that I said with massive transfer budget and MU machine and not a bad team he still could not do enough to even save his job, with our resources he would be lost and maybe as bad as Pardew turned out to be. What we need is someone like Pulis (but not him) who can build a PL Squad and a youth academy that can grind out enough points to keep around mid table and comfortable that would be a success for Palace in the medium term. As for cup runs, only okay if we have a squad of talent not 11 PL players like now and the rest who would struggle in the championship or are just not robust enough to last a PL season.

With LVG. Maybe there could be something in it? I was told from a very, very good source (to my face) that shortly after Pardew was sacked. The American duo of Harris & Blitzer were very very keen on bringing in Ryan Giggs. Now I'm not sure whether Parrish talked them out of it siting that he wasn't suitable or up to fighting a relegation battle or it was another reason.

Don't be daft.

Anyone thought that the American investors may want a big name manager to up the profile of the club. It all about global exposure for American owners. This is why maybe lvg under consideration.

His Dad insisted they speak it at home. I assume your Frazier is a wind up you little tease. Edited by Mapletree (04 Jun 2017 10.41pm)

I was thinking exactly the same thing today.should LVG come to us I think Giggs will come with him and be groomed as the next boss.

An ex Man U winger legend as manager, worked a treat the first time. Personally feel Giggs has loser manager written all over him, no particular reason why, a bit like Tony Adams.
