I'm expecting our two strikers to be an ageing striker like Crouch and some youngster from one of the big teams, both signed on deadline day. Can't see Benteke coming now as I think there will be competition for his signature, the closer we get to the end of August.

Why don't Palace look at someone who is available like David Cameron? He's been kicking things into the long grass for 6 years just what we need.

There must be some half decent foreign players in other leagues that we can buy who have a decent scoring record. We are in the EPL and should be able to attract international strikers. There is loads playing for smaller clubs in smaller leagues. Why dont we try out luck overseas. Pards did alright with it at Newcastle. Seems he is going for British players at Palace. Im wondering if this is because Parish is in his ear about home grown players.

in the club call link below...berahino in palaces sights...it says Liverpool accepted a 30 mill offer for benteke last month but nothing progressed.
