So you want to delay the process and alienate Croydon council for the sake of a few million when it is in the best interests of the club to get things moving as quickly as possible and maintain a good relationship for future developments?

The council would quickly back down when it started to become common knowledge they were treating a local institution unfairly and squeezing them for money to get things done that they should be funding themselves. The money bought into the area for local as well as bigger businesses on a match day outways any petty traffic issues.
Putting obstacles in the way with the public watching is a vote loser. They know that.

These grounds? I only mentioned one. And have I been to the new Spurs stadium? No. Have I been to White Hart Lane? three times in my lifetime to see Palace win once (in the 90s) and lose twice. But I fail to see what your point is except if it is to attempt to see me as an arm chair fan. Doesn't really matter if I am or not anyway, my point is still valid.
Seven Sisters is the only widely used/known train station that services WHL. And thats at least 20 mins walk from the stadium. A 5/10 minute walk from Selhurst is Thrnton Heath, Selhurst AND Norwood Junction stations so I'd question whether YOU have been to 'these' grounds. Oh, and parking? Again I think you need to get there a bit earlier. If you are at the ground by car before 1.30 you will get a parking space in Sainsbury carprak, up by the park or numerous residential roads that allow parking on match day. Arrive with less than an hour and a half before KO and of course you wont get a space.

The problem with getting to Selhurst isn't to do with having 3 stations near by and short waits for trains.

For your average northern they will have to get down to the a London terminus, then find their way into a confusing and busy underground network which gives them flashbacks of the old mining days. On the tube they will have to find their way to London Bridge or Victoria, large overwhelming stations, or worse still, Clapham Junction. On getting this far they then discover that Crystal Palace station is no where near Selhurst Park, and they have to either get a slow suburban train to one of 3 locations or to easy Croydon where you have to double back on yourself to find the destination.

Then there's driving. Go all the way around the M25 til you find the M23, discover it stops in the middle of nowhere and end up crawling along a road that appears to be an endless parade of chicken shops.
