I drive to midweek games because the train to east Croydon from Norwood juncture is only 4 carriages, and that’s after you’ve waited to get through the gate on the left. It’s sh1t. Its Southern's responsibility to put on bigger trains on match days not CPFC

So you want to delay the process and alienate Croydon council for the sake of a few million when it is in the best interests of the club to get things moving as quickly as possible and maintain a good relationship for future developments? The council would quickly back down when it started to become common knowledge they were treating a local institution unfairly and squeezing them for money to get things done that they should be funding themselves. The money bought into the area for local as well as bigger businesses on a match day outways any petty traffic issues.

OK, here we go. Here’s how I know what I know. I’m a freelance writer based in New York and a native New Yorker. I have reported on the continuing Department of Investigation probe into deBlasio’s fund raising and pay to play shenanigans. It has been also widely reported in the New York & national media. The approach to Mr. Parish has been extensively sourced by several reporters, including Spectrum NY1 & the New York Times. So, bring on your law suit. Under the New York Times v Sullivan decision (SUPRA 1964) you won’t get in the front door of the court house. This is still just your word. No offence but you could be making this all up to reinforce your point. Its not as if it hasn't been done before. Often.

If you knew some of the conditions that the council has caved into regarding Westfield then you would back the club to dig it's heels in so it can do this for as little cost possible.

These grounds? I only mentioned one. And have I been to the new Spurs stadium? No. Have I been to White Hart Lane? three times in my lifetime to see Palace win once (in the 90s) and lose twice. But I fail to see what your point is except if it is to attempt to see me as an arm chair fan. Doesn't really matter if I am or not anyway, my point is still valid.
So much false info I went to the first game and the transport was fine none of this 20min walk etc. You are in dream world again get parking no I even contacted the club about going with grandfather and wanted to know about disabled or allocated parking the club told me no chance you have to arrange it very early even then it's limited.

What time in the match did you leave Tottenham stadium? Which station did you walk to? How long did that take? How kind did you have to wait for a train south? What time did you get on a train? After Palace matches you can be on a train before 5.15 on Saturdays and before 10.15 after midweek matches that start at 8pm. The trains to London are more regular than your specific train going south, so that’s even more guaranteed, even we’ll bef those times. Edited by Rudi Hedman (12 May 2019 9.38am)

I drive every match and always manage to park about 5minute walk to the ground, you do, of course have to get there a bit early. I usuall arrive between 12.30 and 1 pm

This post has been merged from a topic called 'Stadium plans' by bexleydave The problem with getting to Selhurst isn't to do with having 3 stations near by and short waits for trains. For your average northern they will have to get down to the a London terminus, then find their way into a confusing and busy underground network which gives them flashbacks of the old mining days. On the tube they will have to find their way to London Bridge or Victoria, large overwhelming stations, or worse still, Clapham Junction. On getting this far they then discover that Crystal Palace station is no where near Selhurst Park, and they have to either get a slow suburban train to one of 3 locations or to easy Croydon where you have to double back on yourself to find the destination. Then there's driving. Go all the way around the M25 til you find the M23, discover it stops in the middle of nowhere and end up crawling along a road that appears to be an endless parade of chicken shops.

But none of this is proof Palace is difficult to get to. Only that the idiots didn't do their homework for 5 mins before leaving home and actually do what normal people do on an unknown journey. You know, plan the route? Jeez
