Perhaps we should offer it to Howe just so he'll turn up at Burnley the next day and we can sign Dyche?

Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance.

As someone has said already! Cooper should bring a team up and then have a go at the prem! Prove his worth!

Realistically we could get relegated next season! We will then need a manager to get us back up! Has cooper gotten a team promoted before? Does he have what it takes and to not bottle it in play-offs fight?

Does cooper have what it takes after a 5 game loosing streak to pull a result out of the hat to get us back on track? Or would be continue to loose?

My worry about lampard is the stepping stone! As soon as another job comes along he will jump ship!

Would defo have dyche as manager!

I agree that Dyche is my number one candidate also. But failing to get him. Who do you think would be suitable?

Not one single word has come out of the club regarding transfer budget. Nuno had agreed in principle the terms of his deal at Palace so presumably the budget was big enough for him to feel he could work with it. It is his demands for staff that are the reasons this fell through, not money available.
I think all these people who keep banging on that we're skint might be a bit surprised if they knew what the club really has to spend. Although its not Parish's way to ever reveal that, quite rightly.

I was commuting with regards to being in the prem for 8 years have you some kind of entitlement. It does not, it’s money alone.

According to last years accounts we recorded a loss of 54m. Unless the Americans are willing to put money in, we are pretty skint.

Absolutely correct. He played for Gloucestershire and England.
I remember him with his brimmed white hat and his moustache.
He became goal-keeping coach for Forest Green Rovers whose home ground is in Gloucestershire.

He was also very talented artist,

The Nuno thing has put the club off track.
I understand wanting him and also ditching him but other candidates now know that they are second best for sure which always worries me.
I also think it stopped us looking at candidates as we probable thought that Nuno was the one - eggs in one basket etc.
I worry now and feel that we will end up with second best and that we will make an underwhelming appointment.

Is it unreasonable to think that SP's loyalty to the fitness and sports science team may have tripped up the Nuno deal? And then perhaps others to come?

This apparent drift and lack of decision making cannot help in our squad rebuild.
We’ve been linked with energetic young players such as Gallagher and Maitland-Niles.
I have no doubt there will be other interested clubs too.
It may be a less attractive prospect to contemplate joining a club without a manager and no knowledge of whether the eventually appointed manager will rate you as a player.
The manager is usually a key selling point in terms of explaining how the prospective signing fits in to the side and how it’s envisaged the player will develop.
It could be the difference between Gallagher signing for say West Ham rather then us.
We also have the issue of the players of expiring contracts and the resolution of their futures.
I know we’re all in the dark and am not advocating a rash managerial decision.
But I can’t understand why we didn’t have a manager lined up with the notice that Roy was going. It was not a shock.
If I first choice turned us down or we couldn’t reach agreement then move on to the next option.
Wolves had a succession plan in place and appointed Lange almost seamlessly.

Christophe Galtier was meant to be nailed on for Nice but still not confirmed. Perhaps a quick bid from Palace?

He has not impressed me and I have seen him play a few times.
Has played in a few positions - sees himself as a midfielder but Arteta has played him in both full-back positions.

The central point was not about whether you rate the player himself.
It was about a lack of manager potentially hindering our pursuit of players who have no idea of whether or how they will fit into a new manager’s plans.

If it's between Cooper & Ismael then I really hope we go for Ismael, although I understand why Cooper would be an appealing prospect. He seems to have demonstrated a willingness to grind out results where necessary whereas Ismael hasn't really had to do that.

But taking a mid table Austrian team to their first ever Champions League play off, first ever Europa League knockout stages, topping a group with Sporting & PSV in it, before pulling the youngest side in the Championship from relegation fodder to their first Play-Offs in 21 years. On a budget of next to nothing. Playing in your face, high pressing, aggressive football. With a squad of players willing to die for the cause. If we back him in the market with the right profile of players (and there's no reason they should cost an arm & a leg), it could be fantastic.

Plus, he's an ex-Palace record signing who has unfinished business at the club.

Get it done, Parish.

We're the Arthur over ere!
