The bit that doesn't make sense to me is why would we let him go on loan with only 12 months on his contract? We may not get what we paid for him but if we're going to let him go surely he's still worth 15/20 million? Unless we really are that desperate to bring the wage bill down? Personally I can't see Tekkers wanting to go to Turkey anyway, as he seems fairly happy here.

I do think we are trying to reduce our overheads and wages, I believe looking at the players we have let go we are saving around £200,000 a week or £11,000,000 a year. Based on internet wage figures. Believe Tekkers is on around £100,000 a week, so any resnoble fee and a saving of £5,000,000 a year would make sense. But would leave us short up front,

The only way that this would make sense is if he agreed to a contract extension (hopefully on lower terms) as other wise he would go for nothing next year
