On a secondary note, if Farage is going to play by the media's and the left's play book he can't complain. When you disown your own they simply move their target. Interesting term "..offence archaeology..." think we'll hear a lot more of this over the coming months and years..

Interesting term "..offence archaeology..." think we'll hear a lot more of this over the coming months and years.. I think that any public figure's social media whilst they are a student is off limits. Young people tend to do and say stuff for visibility with their peer group. How long ago? It's perfectly possible for someone today to be a reasonable person but twenty years ago for them to have held some dodgy views. It's what they believe now that matters. Where I start to draw the line is people making these comments in the very recent past say 5 years ago. Now if they come out voluntarily and say I no longer hold these views fair enough, but normally these people are caught out and then we get the mealy mouth apology. You can't set any hard rules for this stuff the above are just examples but I hope most of us are sensible enough to see the difference. I don't care if Cameron smoked pot at school or what he did with a pigs head it was never relevant to his job as PM. If we rehabilitate criminals shouldn't we allow our politicians some leeway, otherwise we will never get anyone of calibre as they will be frightened of the media trawling through their life. I am more concerned about people like Corbyn having tea with terrorists and to this day never apologising for it.

It's just another form of purity spiralling......which these hypocrites like to play. As soon as you apply their own standards to themselves you quickly find out what a total facade it all is. I suspect they will to. Interesting to read it is £25 to become a supporter of the Farage Brexit Party but not a voting member to stand up against the 'unelected EU dictatorship' by voting him into the European Parliament in a free democratic vote
