That there are supply problems all over the world, primarily as a result of the pandemic, is well understood. No-one blames Brexit for them.

The question is not that. It is whether Brexit has helped, or hindered, our ability to cope with them?

Helped.

It seems the Rittenhouse family are angry with Biden for 'deflaming' Rittenhouse before the trial and connecting him with 'white supremacy'.....whatever the feck that is.

I don't know of this but I can certainly concur that most stuff that comes out of his mouth are either lies or extreme distortions of reality to ramp up Democratic activists and supporters. If he tried to use Rittenhouse for political purposes then we will see if a price will be paid for that.

Talking to two friends from America last night they could not believe what Biden said albeit his words are not getting publicised too much over there for obvious reasons.
Also - and you will excuse my ignorance - I heard initially that the guys who were killed were black - apparently that is not the case?

No, it’s not.

Thanks - should have done my own homework.
I thought it was how it was first reported.

Ah, so it was a rhetorical question.

Let's just say that the Democratic news media have an WE-like attachment to objectivity.

Lies and obfuscation are viewed as a means to an end.

Also true of many Republican new sources but not in Rittenhouse's case.

Perhaps, but still interested how and why it has helped. I cannot myself see it.

I didn't see one report that made any suggestion that the victims were "black". Only that the riots started after a "black" man was shot.

This persistent reference to a "Democratic" news media is complete nonsense. No-one refers to Fox, Breitbart, NewsMax etc as "Republican" media. They are "conservative" media, or more properly, right wing media, to a greater or lesser degree.

Where is this coming from? Is it yet another dubious tactic of the hard right to smear the MSM, and wind up the faithful, that you have picked up from one of your pet blogs?

Driving the impressionable to online sources, full of unedited assertions and conspiracy theories, isn't healthy. It feels like another Putin inspired campaign to me.

Actually - I am told that CNN started out doing so because it suited.
They then realized they had got it wrong.
They also did not report the facts correctly- more moved the words around to suit.
As Eric Morecambe once said - "I am playing all of the right notes just not necessarily in the right order"!
