Expect Tekkers to have a good season, then leave in the summer for nothing 🙈. Could be a real dilemma if he bangs in 20 goals.

Bexley Dave Can you hear the Brighton sing? I can't hear a ******* thing! "The most arrogant, obnoxious bunch of deluded little sun tanned, loafer wearing mummy's boys I've ever had the misfortune of having to listen to" (Burnley forum) |

On the contrary if he wanted to sit on money he'd run to china to earn almost twice as much as he's on now to play against dross. He clearly wants to prove he still has the talent we bought him for, whether he does or not is another thing. He just wants the signing on fee, personally think he should have been shown the door after the Bournemouth debacle..

I know it was just a friendly, but last night Tekkers seemed to be moving more freely than I've seen him do for years. A few times he skipped past players and charged down on the opposition penalty area and he was far more involved. I wonder if his injuries really were the problem. Hopefully he will have a really good season and we can worry about whether he stays or not next year. In contrast Sorloth looked even worse than before on last night's showing. Aside from a good penalty he moved around like Arnie in Terminator 2. I really want to give him a chance, but it is hard to see how he will ever be PL quality.

think this is why we won't sell him.

I have to say, Benteke looks a lot fitter and leaner than I have ever seen him at Palace. Whilst giving him the benefit of the doubt that he was playing with injuries, it is last chance saloon for me and probably everyone else who have had to put up with his woeful performances. I think he knows that if he doesn't perform this year his career is just about over at top level.

The way Tekkers charged down, won the ball on the left & then laid the ball on a plate in front of goal only for Sodoff to miss an open goal, I agree with you.
This operation, will make the 'Charge Of The Light Brigade' seem like a simple military exercise. |

The test of his loyalty to us will be signing a new contract next summer for £80k/wk.

I know. So if someone told me he's guaranteed to score 20 goals next season and then walk...I would accept it knowing that 20 goals from him would likely see us finish midtable.
