No win percent lower than 52% Apparently He's not good enough to manage Palace. Let's have some realism here. Yes he's football dull and very arrogant man. Whilst it's probably unrealistic. Who are we really gonna attract. 2 years of lvg could take us to the next level. He's cv head and shoulders above dyche, monk and many others.

Why do we want dull football? Surely we can aim to stay out of religation trouble without signing up to that style. Also did you see the players that didn't fit when he was at united and got sold. He'd literally lambast Wilf and Townesend for any forward play if they had gone through his micro managed side ways football first. Their values would plummet and he'd insict on selling them as they wouldn't fit his style. Zero interest in LVG he'd ruin all the good work at the club. I never feared for BS style as I knew / hoped he'd utilise the players he had. And he did.. LVG doesn't do that. LVG suffocates footballers. 55% win percentage or not, I don't think he'd be right for palace Edited by Goldfiinger (04 Jun 2017 11.54am)

LVG has only managed big clubs with huge staffs. He turned ManU into a joke despite spending a fortune. There is no way he could succeed at a club like ours. Comparing the win record of a manager of team like Barca/Manu against the manager of Burnley/Watford is quite ridiculous. Would be good to compare win ratios against transfer spend then I'm pretty sure LVG would not come out on top. We need a young energetic manager who has demonstrated he can get the best out of a limited team with moderately priced players and has experience of less expensive leagues (Championship and/or europe) where we can draw future players.

LVG at 40, yes. Now? I fear he would lack the dynamism and adaptability of a younger manager. His time at Manu seemed to show this. Would he be able to transition from defensive to possession football effectively as he undoubtedly would want to, or repeat the mistakes of pardew?

Let's not give that dastardly 'Mirror' any credence by entertaining the possibility that we are remotely interested in LVG. I've certainly not heard his name mentioned in dispatches.

Probably unfinished business at the level of ManUre but not at a struggling Prem Club. On the flip side as you say he has a wealth of coaching behind him.

He's destined for a top 6 club in England. Lvg isn't my ideal choice but most of the mangers linked to Palace position. Have their reputation tarnished like ranieri and hodgson. This is Crystal Palace remember if lvg is interested in the palace positions to dismiss him is ludicrous.
