More bias from The Telegraph! How many of us had even heard of Guthrie before today? Who'd heard of that woman who switched to remain last week? That made bigger news than this chap switching has.

Why bother saying the above? Everyone knows that the Telegraph is leave orientated. Your constant wails of 'bias' are dull. Matt: I'll tell you what I find dull and stupid beyond belief : it is how there ARE so many people out there whose vote is SO encouraged by what they read from our biased press of today. And stop being so bl**dy condescending!

Matt: No they are not. Many are expressed to question. I'm all for receiving difference of opinion if backed up with factual evidence. My frustration lies in the sad reality that The quality of EU Referendum campaigning involving our politicians and press has been hell bent upon hyperbole and lies and yet I for one just want to be presented with stone cold, bare faced facts that are substantially supported. What we have truly experienced is our elected Government guilty on both sides of the campaign having made serious, exaggerated/ unfounded claims that now surely places increased scepticism upon other policy decision making. There has to be a leadership contest irrespective of the outcome of the Referendum... and that viewpoint comes from a completely neutral political stance. If I'm accused of any bias, then that judgment can surely be applied to just about any other Holmesdale poster.

I should've added that I studied Politics as a teenager that included analysis of voting behaviour with independent research statistics concluding that main factors influencing how people vote are: a) Family tradition It would be great to pick up a 'news paper' one day rather than a 'views paper' whose monkey journalists have to dance to the tune of the political leanings of their editors and owners.

Fair enough. I have to say that I've only come across one paper (discounting the Sun which actually announced its support of Brexit the other day) that has run a lot of pro-leave stories, and that is the Telegraph. That could be because it's biased, or it could be that it's readdressing the balance due to other paper's and media outlet's bias, or it could be because it's the only paper being balanced and not being selective over what it reports. Despite popular belief, the Mail has just as many pro remain articles as it does leave from what I've seen. One thing that's annoyed me over the past couple of weeks is pro remain politicians and public figures coming out and saying something along the lines of "we need to stop the scare stories which both sides are guilty of". Scare stories are 95% of remain's arsenal, and trying to tar leave with the same brush is inaccurate in my opinion. The same goes for what they've been calling 'toxic' campaigning, with Amber Rudd personally attacking Johnson and Bob Geldof sticking his fingers up at working class fishermen who's livelihood has been destroyed directly as a result of the EU. If anything, I think there leave camp could go a lot further than they have and get a bit conspiritorial, alluding to the kind of points that DivingIsNotGood has bought up on this thread. If they went down this route they'd be sacrificed by the pro-remain group and would do more harm than good to their campaign, even if a lot of it were true.

Another thing I don't get is how anyone on the left can be in support of the EU with what they've allowed to happen/caused in Greece.
