The electorate want you all to go They do indeed, had enough of the Tories and Labour, as the voting shows. Those nice moderate Lib Dems have really upset the apple-cart. Spinning the results away from the winning remain parties will only show the bust system for what it is. The remain vote, now about 60% minimum and increasing, have not had anyone to vote for. Indeed the electorate at this present juncture have no enthusiasm for the two main parties and the Lib Dems benefitted because they are not Conservative or Labour. They hoovered up the protest vote as did the Greens and to an extent the Independents and Resident groups. As my wife is currently a student nurse I can clarify this for you. Nursing used to be grant based but now, like so many other university courses, asks the students to pay via a "student loan". The idea that this is a loan, as most of us understand it, is incorrect. It is really a type of increased taxation to be paid by the highest earners. Only when a graduate qualifies and starts to earn above a threshold will they even start repaying the "loan". This remains a small figure for moderate earners and any balance is eventually wiped out if you don't reach very high earnings. It's a way of ensuring that those who gain the most from their education pay for it, and that's very unlikely to impact any but the most senior nurses. The downside is that there is a sword of Damocles hanging over their heads for 30 years! So I would be correct in saying that even if the nurse never pays the loan back as her salary doesn't hit that level it will still count against her for things like mortgage and loan applications. Just seems an unnecessary burden for people working in a vital sector of our economy.

My daughter did a Masters in Aerospace engineering and came away with 1st class honours but with in excess of £50000 debt. This had to be included in her mortgage application.

That's what the Remaining establishment want you to do, give up. Not on my watch, the Tories got it in the backside in the locals and they are going to get it big time in the Europeans. Any deal with Labour that involves handing control to the EU will be rejected by most Tory MPs (If they know what's good for them). Fight on never surrender until we get what we were promised.
