Ludicrous comments about Hendersen, i can just imagine the slagging off SP and DF would have got if Jonhstone got injured, if we dont buy any outfield player we will still be mid table, we have Olise and Franca to look forward too, of course we would like more, but in the end if there isn't anyone available that fits the criteria, then so be it, i will be more than happy with Lerma, Franca and Hendersen, and nobody else leaving.

I feel sorry for Sam Johnstone as he will be a back up with us or a back up to Sa if he goes to wolves , it also means we’re in the same boat needing a back up goalie if johnstone does go ..my opinion this decision is stupid spending 20mill on Henderson .. I know a lot of you keep mentioning a RB but I think we need a forward more so I’m hoping we still have any funds to get one in??

As somebody else has mentioned the only reason I can see why we are spending £20m on Henderson is that Johnstone is homesick and wants to return to the Midlands.. Otherwise this signing makes no sense whatsoever especially when we have far more pressing needs to fill at right back, left back and striker.
Don't waste your time with jealousy. Sometimes your ahead, sometimes your behind, the race is long. But in the end it's only with yourself!! |

So we're in a position where we can spend £20m on a back up keeper.. Sure that makes sense. We have more than one keeper by the way.

I think Henderson is a top draw GK and is an upgrade on SJ (a very good GK) but IF he is homesick for the Midlands then it’s good that the club are considerate around this imo. For the last 3 seasons we have been a decent right back (not Wardy - great Palace lad but not a starter in EPL for me) and (most importantly) good striker away from being a really decent side. Recent performances have really consolidated this imo. SP and DF must see this……..hopefully we’ll get the striker we need.
