I’m not sure if Mr Bill Shacks can be taken at his word. Maybe he is Dazza in disguise. Not a hope in hell of us selling SJ or we would need to buy a new number 2.

Just find this Dean Henderson thing bizarre. Has Johnstone done something wrong? We are in such desperate need in other positions, it's mad that this is our priority. There simply has to be more going on in the background.

I am baffled. Why spend £15m on a number 2 keeper when we have so many other priorities ? But if the further rumour has legs why purchase a keeper and move on another very good one in SJ ? There must be something else at play here, but no idea what it is.

It's about the available talent pool when it comes available. Unless you're one of the sides with deep pockets then buying high talent involves when it becomes available as well as your squad situation and available spend. If you only buy set positions you may end up having no one good enough to come in or end up buying average or under average talents. That's happened before and a sign of desperation. Hopefully we get those full back positions but with our keeper refusing to compete for his shirt then that situation becomes a problem. Personally I fully expect that outfield transfers are also in the works simply based upon the reality that the squad is too thin.

I'm not holding out hope but I'd find it very bizarre if our last bit of business would be a back-up GK. We desperately need a winger if not a couple, full backs and the perennial striker problem - Che Adams was being touted for less dosh. If there was no money there, why spend an amount like that on a keeper and call it a day? Hopefully we'll have more answers come deadline day.
Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!! |

If the transfer window shuts with no right back and a decent striker coming in, I honestly wonder what Steve P and Dougie are thinking.

If the rumours are to be believed Johnstone will be sold to wolves who in turn will sell their keeper to Forest. All very bizarre and if true still leaves us needing a backup keeper. No doubt once the rumours are all over Twitter then dazza will turn up with his exclusive

Maybe some of this explains Vincente G throwing his toys out of the pram, firstly I have no idea why Sam would find a move to Wolves interesting, especially since he has only really just established himself as No 1 here, but maybe the Wolves thing has been simmering in the background for a little while, VG felt that if Sam was going to Wolves he should have been immediately recalled to the No 1 shirt, yet we continued to play Sam & behind the scenes trying to bring Henderson in the belief that he would take the position. Thank you Martin. Though after a long night with a newborn I did bite back, I was somewhat confused as to why someone I’m not even familiar with would start randomly having a pop. Does seem he has the wrong bloke . Congrats. Hope you are managing to get some sleep!
