How about a regular order with the Irish hurling association for 3 Delaneys a year?

Betting odds don't mean a thing! Bookies react to bets that are placed (by chumps who read rumour forums for instance). They do not have necessarily have special insider information. How many times?! The West Ham chap (Gold or Sullivan?) said they were getting in an unnamed striker. Punters notice this, remember that West Ham had been linked to Benteke earlier in the window and take a punt. There's nothing in it. Sure, West Ham may end up getting him in, but that doesn't mean the bookies 'got it right'.

Oh, lordy. I hope not. International player, cost over £30m a while ago, experienced Premier League player with a jaded past, what could possibly go wrong?

Really? Very good player but people think Wickham is a sick note, Carroll is far more injury prone 29 goals in 124 league games at Liverpool and WHU. He's not even been that prolific. For someone four years older than Wickham, he's not played much more either. I'm hoping we get Benteke, as we do need a striker, and someone who can create goals from midfield. Puncheon has been far too inconsistent.
If you come to a fork in the road, take it. |
