Breaking News!! Howe gone to bed and will decide on the morning!...
I wish! might get paid more than being a designer...and i'd get the inside gossip on Palace before everyone else!...or i'd just have to make some up like most tabloids

I agree with a timeline being set now because even though it can hard to leave a club you love, he should have had some intention on what he was going to do when he went to the interviews with palace and charlton. If your going to the interviews and hear good things then there would be an excitment or an adrenaline rush thinking i would love that job and what i could achieve. Ok Howe would be sorry for Bournemouth fans but they would still love him for what he has done and the potential they have now for the rest of the season. He has heard from bouremouth chairman now, so he should have a decision by tomorrow and if not, then it may be time to look at either Dougie or other contenders.

I’m feeling quietly confident that Eddie is an Eagle. Eddie seems like an excellent prospect and more importantly he seems like he will fit extremely well with what we are trying to build for the future. I can only imagine there has been some tough negotiations over the last few days and not just personal salary but selling the future of Crystal Palace and the vision of the new board. I also think this has been dragged out by Charlton’s counter offer, otherwise we would have known one way or the other by Monday, or maybe Eddie wanted one last day & say goodbye to the boys. If we were not in negotiations we would have put out a statement to that effect. I do feel that with SP and his no nonsense pragmatic approach he will drag this one over the line. The suspense is killing me though, however if we get our man the wait will be well and truly worth it, we just need to be patient.

EH is telling his players the deal at 11 tomorrow morning. HOPEFULLY an announcement after that. finally looks like there may be a proper timetable for this saga to be resolved - it's been pretty frustrating - and if Howe is going for Palace then I am at this stage a bit less excited than last Friday when it seemed a done deal However, I know if it is Palace then the buzz will suddenly become extraordinary again and these thousands of speculative posts will just be a distant memory We'll have to wait for those with the SMS alerts to give us the good news about 11.30 .... If he's going to someone else, so be it, I just want this to be over

I actually take the delay as a good sign. He is obviously a man who wants to weigh everything up and the truth is that Palace are not that attractive proposition at the moment. I do hope he does come to us but who ever takes over its going to be a real struggle and I can understand why he would not want to be rushed into things. He knows he has potentially a long career ahead of him and having done all the right things so far I can respect why he is considering the next step with care. But if he does come to us then I feel he is going to be deadly serious about getting the job right. And that can only be a good thing.

We are an attractive proposition, what a load of s**t to say otherwise. League position aside, we have a terrific fan base, the potential to get 25,000+ punters through the turnstiles if succesful, ambitious yet sensible owners, a great academy and are in the capital and therefore have the potential to grow if marketed properly in the wider community! Yes, we're 1 point away from safety in the Championship and that is a worry. However if we were challenging at the top we wouldn't be after a new manager! This isn't Football Manager 2011, this is REAL LIFE! Crystal Palace FC is a terrific opportunity for any aspiring manager to get their teeth into. Anyone who says otherwise doesn't truly get football!
