I don't really know to be honest but having spent the Easter fortnight in Lanzarote the restaurants were doing a roaring trade in full English breakfasts. I'm not sure whether that means that Brits abroad like to eat British food as we had a full English twice but never eat that sort of thing at home.

I did smile when I spotted your reference to "our generation" as I have a sneaking suspicion that I am quite a bit older than you

I was being kind ...but it was well intentioned lol

Massive boost for the Change UK tonight as Corbyn has decided to still sit on the fence regarding the peoples vote.

If you want a 2nd referendum, and apparently some on this forum do, why would you vote Labour?

Still this could all be part of Jeremy's master plan, does he have one I hear you say? I guess if Corbyn can do a deal with May then this is all moot.

I still think that Change UK will be dead at the next GE but for now I can see them and the Brexit party picking up the protest votes.

I fear May and Corbyn are going to stitch us up with the worst deal imaginable.

Don't do it.....I want these EU MEP elections. Hopefully the very last thing to do with this collection of champagne socialist corporate protectionist chuckle fecks.

The Cebu Mosque is the place I remember best. It is a very big and obvious building and I have passed it many times. As it was always busy on every day of the week and I was more concerned about getting through the very heavy traffic, I cannot say I particularly noticed whether Fridays were exceptional.

Satisfied, or do you still want to continue making daft "points"?

Don't want to labour the point but did you not notice that the majority of the male muslim population were not to be seen on Friday's at prayer time, whereas they would have been around the rest of the week

Nothing "long winded" needed. Just fact. The remark was not primarily directed not at anyone here, us both included, but at the nature of the tests themselves which can be pretty esoteric. I used us merely as examples of native born Brits.

Your constant chirping about my supposed "lack of knowledge" is really rather facile, especially as I have explained very thoroughly. You seem to have a problem with facts. Do you also support Mr Trump by any chance?

Ah Trump!
The amount of times you mention him could also be known as chirping.
Supposed lack of knowledge and the constant need to explain yourself is a trait expected of you.
Look! Be a man and Just fess up that you didn't know about Friday prayers.
Someone pulled you up on it and your response was "Probably" most people would have responded "oh yes of course I forgot" or something on those lines fact! need I say more? Knowing you I'd say yes.

To jog your memory his the actual
transcript fact:

Wisbech

I am and there is always a very big attendance there on a Saturday for their prayers etc. It is always referred to locally as "the Mosque", even though it provides other services than the strictly religious

Do you mean Friday prayers? Having lived in a muslim country for 3 years Friday was the prayer day

Wisbech's reply

Probably. I don't actually take much notice or often go past the place as it's not on a route regularly I use.I will take note next time I do

After this, of course is when you started your tirade of excuses to various posters who also noticed your lack of knowledge.(something more akin to Trump I'd have thought) go figure.

One excuse was your atheism meant you are not interested in religion the other was you don't know what goes on in community halls yet you knew that one provided other services non religious.

You also used the adverb "always" to describe the attendance there on a Saturday only to turn round and say

"it's not on a route I regularly use. I will take note next time I do."

Can you see the descrepancy there?

If you need more facts just let me know! As I'm sure you will

Well, I would not have had them here in the first place and I would have been right.

I understand that is your view but we did and now we have to deal with what we have, as you have recognised.

Given that the folly of our government's policy is history, I have already said that I would deport second generation immigrants if they commit a serious crime. The current system might not easily allow for that but as I have said, It would have to be part of the agreement with any country from which immigrants arrive or they would not be permitted to settle here.

I don't claim to be an expert on these matters but am pretty sure that any second generation immigrant is automatically a British citizen and would have no automatic legal connection to another. Cultural connections of course. I don't think we could legislate to change that and force another country to take in someone we decided we don't want, just because their parents were born there. It's individuals who make visa applications, and their home country are not involved, so trying to introduce new agreements looks to me to be a cul de sac.

As the situation stands I would give them 30 days to leave Britain and revoke their citizenship. Just because you call yourself British and have a British passport or are born in Britain, it does not mean that anyone else sees you as British.

How people see other people does not affect their legal status. You cannot wish things away just because you don't like them.

I could move to Africa and have sons and they would not be African to other Africans, especially if they grew up and started raping the local girls.

If they were born in an African country and their parents wanted to register their birth there then I think they would indeed be citizens of that country, despite what anyone else might think. I do believe though that British parents can opt to register the birth in the UK and preserve their British citizenship, but I might be wrong about that. How you are seen by others is not the same as how the law sees you.

I didn't but only because I didn't pay any attention. It would be difficult to tell in the Philippines anyway because everyone dresses similarly, except the women generally wear headscarves but then again some of the Christian women do too, to protect themselves from the sun.

Trump's impact on energising those who hold his type of views is a very unfortunate part of today's political scene. When detected it needs to be identified. I trust that it will fade away just as quickly as it arose. There are some straws in the wind to that effect already.

Supposed lack not knowledge and the constant need to explain yourself is a trait expected of you.

I only ever explain when people either misrepresent or misunderstand me. False accusations demand a rebuttal in the age of Trump.

Look! Be a man and Just fess up that you didn't know about Friday prayers.

I think you need to go right back to the original remark which had nothing whatsoever to do with prayers, on a Friday or any other day of the week. It was a simple remark that the place that is known locally as "the Mosque", but which turns out to actually be a community centre, seemed busy on a Saturday. My memory might be faulty, or it might have been a Saturday for non prayer reasons, I don't know and nor do you. If anyone asked me which is the Muslim day of prayer then, after some thought, I could have told you. Just as I know Sunday is for Christians and Saturday for Jews. It's not something I think, or care, about and your obsession in trying to score points over a non event is making you look very silly.

Someone pulled you up on it and your response was "Probably" most people would have responded "oh yes of course I forgot" or something on those lines fact! need I say more? Knowing you I'd say yes.

No-body "pulled me up"! Some people attempted to score cheap points and I refused to let them, by stating the facts as I recalled them.

You don't know me. You just make false assumptions based on your own prejudices.

You are factually correct in what you say but I am clearly suggesting that the current situation should be changed.

The legal status of people obviously has no bearing on perceptions and vice versa.
