The club refer to block E as a singing section, which is fair enough. But the crux of the issue is that nowhere have the club said that it is a standing block because standing is against the rules of the stadium and the law. Just like all those other clubs that haven’t I suppose.

So just because I live in Penzance negates 70 years of watching Palace does it? I was on the Holmesdale long before it became a stand, I had a season ticket in the Arfur for many years before I moved to Cornwall. When my mum was still alive I would travel up from Cornwall to stay with her and go to Selhurst Park. I've also taken in away games at Plymouth Argyle. I have produced facts that prove the HF do not do anything for our home record which has been poor for years. You are quite happy to praise someone who lives in Australia or the USA who agree with you but choose to be sarcastic about someone who lives in Penzance. I hope you are very comfortable about turning Palace fans against each other on here because you, more than anyone, has kept this thread going as your personal crusade.

People who point to defeats to ‘prove’ that fans/atmosphere make no difference to results really are twerps. However bad the results have been, ‘but for’ the fans/atmosphere those results might have been even worse. And for the record, although I am potentially going to be turfed out of my seat it is nevertheless the correct decision and has my full backing and support. The club needs to act in the best interests of all CPFC stakeholders - not just the few in the blocks concerned.

What people have a problem with is going ahead with proposals without consent of the current seat holders. Although I’m sure you know that already, and that was just a way of attempting to discredit the people who don’t happen to share your personal view. Edited by Mstrobez (26 Sep 2018 9.35pm) They don’t need consent. The club can do what it likes. They’re going to liaise with them after making the decision rather than before. They’ve made the decision and are aware some won’t be happy. Or they could liaise before and not do it because of some against it.

It's a relief to know that without the HF we'd have lost 0-8 to relegated Sunderland.

Not facts, just your stubborn opinion. The club are looking forward, I suggest you do too. It’ll help you get used to what is happening. And I’ve done nothing to turn fans against each other. The club handled this badly, not me. You’re determined with your vendetta against the HF, not me against block E, which is even more absurd if you don’t attend anymore. The club is moving into the future and not just trying to attract corporates but to maximise its appeal and strength. If you don’t want that over a minority having to move then good luck to you. Really great news, I'm delighted. Well done CPFC. What a difference this will make. As per the club statement, there has been overwhelming support for this, the clubs needs to cater for the majority. No one is celebrating fans getting kicked out their seat, hopefully they are all well compensated for this - free season ticket next year and first choice seats once the new stand has been built is fair. People are celebrating how exciting it will be once its up and running. And theres my problem. Someone who hasn't had a season ticket for a while wants to join the singing section in thd holmesdale, while someone who's renewed their ticket fir years will age to move. Never ever thought the club would give in to this. Shame.

Just 7 out of 19 home games last season with the HF. And your opinion is just as stubborn, if not worse than mine because I don't want long standing fans kicked out of their seats just because a 100 or so fans threw a strop about not getting what they wanted this season. People have said that Arsenal is like a library yet they regularly finish in the top six so proving atmosphere is not the panacea for success you seem to think it is.

Great news, and will encourage me to spend the hard earned going up to London, not easy working as a gardener 90 miles away. I grew up standing at the back of the Holmesdale, dodging lumps of concrete buzzed down on us by manure fans, singing our hearts out only for it to disappear into the clouds above. The HF are fantastic, but even more so is the fact we now have a roof! Never assume what is, will be forever, everything changes, all of the time. I'm so grateful that we have a group of young guys passionate, noisy and lively, usually well behaved, thoughtful and willing to make a noise about the worst excesses of our stars, and football in general. Puts some of those stuck up suburban twerps in their places also! South London and Proud! Rant over. Oh, one more thing, the statement doesn't actually say its Block E? It may be D, or C, or up top...ha!
