Surely we can build the stadium in stages without moving out. I don't know the precise details but I guess a stand with similar dimensions to the one at Wigan or better Bolton could be built for the WHL and a thinner version of the main stand for the AW. A completed main stand and about 6K for the WHL plus the Holmesdale would give us around 28k while the AW was shut for a rebuild. It might even be mostly done while still open. I'd like to hear from anyone who says this could not be done. Edited by Hrolf The Ganger (23 Apr 2019 5.29pm) The problem with the AW is doing the work while minimizing the disruption to traffic on Park Road. We don’t have that problem with the Main Stand or the Whitehorse/Sainsbury End as they don’t directly abut public streets. However there have to be ways of working on the AW without too much disruption as it was done during the 1990 close season when it was converted to an all seater. This post has been merged from a topic called 'Stadium plans' by bexleydave I recall going to see Oldham play at home back in 2011.The North Stand which straddled the length of the pitch had been demolished allowing a cold wind to blow straight across into the stand in which I was seated. It certainly was a bit nippy around the gills ! I saw on TV yesterday that a new modern stand has been built there named the Joe Royle stand.Between 2011 and now they have managed to enhance the ground with a new stand yet there have been NO improvements whtasover to our 'Tired' ground in that time. And I don't think that the ground actually belongs to the club.

Anyone agree with naming it the Steve Coppell stand? I couldn't care less what they call it as long as it gets built.

I couldn't care less what they call it as long as it gets built. I know Croydon Council approved it a while back. Where do we stand with the GLA/Mayor?
