John Simpson that well known Tory supporter and BBC hater (joke) has told Emily M she is wrong.

This is all about her promoting her new job e.g. BBC tried to muzzle me but on LBC I can speak my mind. I don't blame her for that it's nothing new stoking up publicity just don't be fooled. She was wrong and I suspect she knows it.

Your prior post alongside this one detailing John Simpson's tweet still does not grasp EM's criticism on how to properly present balance in an instance where there is a significantly uneven split of professional view.

Do you play out both sides of the argument without any further moderation? Does this properly inform someone of the broader argument? Is it responsible of a public broadcaster?

No, she"s right, I like her, she dismantled randy andy and probably was hounded out of the bbc by not following the new rules imposed by the CONservative take over! I have stopped listening to the 5 live shows because of them having to cover up every CONservative cock up by saying-anybody can make mistakes! She"s a great, no nonsense reporter, and very very sexy- fcuk off you CON wokey kokeys-after 12 years of your crap i say it as it is!

I had a rabid dog once. As much as it pained me, I shot it. Shame.

Paul Embury and Arlene Foster react to Emily Maitlis' comments on the BBC's impartiality.

And that is a Lefty saying that.

It is truly incredible that after Trump and Brexit anyone can say that the BBC isn't totally Liberal Left biased.

The truth is that the BBC attitude is totally out of line with the majority in Britain, and those self appointed arrogant arbiters of right think can't bring themselves to accept that.

What is surprising is the number of heavyweights who are not Tory weighing in and defending the BBC against EM. Some people on here can't see the obvious she is plugging her new show by stirring up controversy.

Laura Kuenssberg the latest to weigh in and defend the BBC.

I wonder how the many BBC haters here react to the way they have handled the last 7 days?

I think it has been nothing short of magnificent, showing respect and sensitivity in equal measure. It has reflected the mood of the nation perfectly and shown, to me at least, why the BBC is something we all ought to be proud of.

The coverage of yesterday’s ceremony, the live streaming of Westminster Hall, and the interviews with those paying their respects shows us all at our best.

The constant bitching on these pages that the UK is somehow a lesser place than it used to be, along with the nonsense that the BBC is biased, has been comprehensively shown to be totally misplaced.

Orrrr....

The BBC is primarily concerned with aligning to whatever the current zeitgeist is.

The order of the day has been the death of our longest reigning monarch, naturally. Soon it will return to liberal gibberish and nonsense.

I admire your efforts however.

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!

Isn't that what the national broadcaster is supposed to do? It isn't political. Its job is to reflect opinion and not direct it.

Thus, when I say "reflected the mood of the nation", it's doing what it is supposed to do and, in my opinion, always does do.

That some don't like it is inevitable, but so long as they come from both sides of politics, as they do, then they are getting things broadly right. It's just that you don't get the left posting here, so you don't get to read their bitching.
