Thought Doughty looked very good for them. And a player we should be looking at if they drop.

after last night more chance of us dropping than them, look at the games coming up, including the weeds, theres a good chance of them getting revenge for the 5-0 and you cant go home, theyre scoring for fun this year whilst we are conceding every game

When we're not even winning these games, what is the point in Roy? At no point today did we look remotely ready for today. Pathetic coaching

One of Roy and Rays strengths is in preparing the side for the upcoming fixture .With the international break and players coming back midweek ,in some cases later they had little time to do that .I would like to see the stats on our games immediately after the internationals but I would bet they are not great .

Having said that we should still be good enough to beat these and as alluded after the game we lost because of collective individual errors not through anything the coaches have or haven't told them .

It's no wonder we get called "Stripey Nigels". If we had won, we would be in 10th place and pushing for a Euro spot. But we lost, so we are relegation candidates. Wetting your pants with any score but a draw. Get a grip. It's an away game. No guarantees. It's how we managed to survive our promotion season. We'll be fine, again. We do this every year. I already saw a post saying "record lowest points to survive", alongside other posts saying the teams promoted are the weakest ever. It is rubbish football with Roy in charge, but most of you wanted that. I'd have prefered Parish to stick with Vieira, we would have stayed up, but then changed to a more adaptable type of manager possibly. But instead, you got what you wanted, and are now moaning about it. I despair you Stripey Nigels.

It’s simple really, keep losing to the teams below you in this league and you will soon find yourself amongst them!

I disagree. What happens under Roy's management is, after an initial "good" spell, there is a slow, not so obvious at first, but later apparent decline into the negative aspects of the game that affects every player's thinking and decision making. This is what Royball does to a player, all joy is lost.
It happened with England, it happened with Palace first time round, and all the signs are there that is it starting to happen again now. Let's be honest with ourselves, our current form and results aren't exactly great are they? Not exactly the form that inspires confidence going into December's set of fixtures.

I don't think Edouard would be starting if we still had Zaha or another top left sided forward.
It would be Ayew down the middle.
Ayew does all the work that Edouard either won't do or is incapable of doing.
We've made do this season with Schlupp in the left sided role and it's glaringly obvious that there's a huge void in our attacking threat on the left, which is accentuated by Mitchell's inability to attack and support play.
For comparison remember PVA, Loftus Cheek and Zaha a few years ago on the left?
Their interplay was at times superb and we're a world away from posing that kind of threat on the left with the current players.

I wholeheartedly concur with these sentiments.
Expectations are not just low but subterranean and my reservoir of optimism has run dry.

The problem is we are not going to get relegated,(this season) the bottom 3 will be the same at the end of the season, probably 25 points we survive this season, so the thought of the Board spending in January isn't going to happen, maybe a couple of loans, i think before the last two games i am certain Paddy was penciled in for Roy's replacement, because of his work and knowledge of the youngsters, Parish has placed all his eggs in one basket with the academy, and a decent manager from outside will want at least 100m to spend, (like Vieira) can anyone really see that happening, it wont, the Vieira spell has changed the direction completely for the board

Think it will be a fire sale at the end of the season. Ebs Olise Guehi Andersen all sold to finance the stand. Next season could be very tough and might be our last in the Prem but at least we may see some of our youngsters in the team

we have a very sketchy past regarding international breaks over last 3 seasons , we have failed to win on 5 occasions from what i can see , with some losses also before the break as well, we seem to not do to well around international breaks then after a couple of games we start winning again , i dont like international breaks alot of fans dont , from the guys i have spoken to ,

we got knocked out of our stride with two quick injuries to key players , and with the way our injurys have gone players must have felt the gods are against us and wondering whos next , so yes piss poor result but should have still won with players we have , with a little luck we would have , there keeper kept them in it , 2 injurys plus woodwork and big hands edouard goal sums up our luck

The spend during the Vieira days was absolutely necessary due to an ancient squad on its last PL legs. The fact that the board sanctioned it is proof that it needed to happen, whoever the new manager was. And, here we are again, with some decidedly past it underperformers keeping first team places whilst money that should have been spent on their replacements is instead spent on non essentials.
I can only think that Parish in his fantasy world must have believed that the academy would be producing fruit by now and his spending problem would be solved...

On a positive note. Olive’s goal was magical. He is a generational talent.
And……..nope……can’t think of a single other thing
And we are still 10 pts clear of 3rd bottom place…..so don’t expect any urgency to change anything/raid the January market any time soon.

He'll be 'On the Buses' soon, to another club.

out of interest who would you buy and who would you have to run the club , we need a 15 to 20 goal a season striker good luck with that for less than 60m unless you go for untried in top flight , 2 full backs 30 to 40m maybe midfield cover 20m
