They're a great example of an investor who actually invests, they're in debt to bloom, so no debt, he bought them in league 1 without a stadium and is probably the most successful owner during his tenure. He could sell tomorrow, which he won't and make profit. I'm sure if Parish had the money then he would do the same but he doesn't, our biggest shareholders are 2 Americans who I don't think have ever been to a game, wanted to buy Chelsea, then man u and probably Liverpool next. We was told their investment would give allow us to build a new stand, which was supposed to be completed about 4 years ago.
All of the Americans have attended games. You don't know they wanted to buy Chelsea/United this was media speculation (We believe everything they say don't we they only give the truth) and even if they did why have they not sold up stake in Palace you can't own multi clubs in the same league yet they are still here. Again why is it Americans fault for not having a new stand it's not they put money aside it's SP who runs the club.

I would have thought it would have been a lot simpler to show players in cost, players out revenue and then you could look at the overall cost of player transfers. Salaries, day to day costs are sort of irrelevant to examining their model as they should be covered by the monies obtained from Sky and ticket/merchandise sales. The reason they can and do follow the model they have is because they have identified many more players with potential than we have. If we sold our 5 best players we would be relegated without doubt. They have sold 5 of their best players in the last couple of seasons without really altering their league position. I believe they will continue to find players of value, quite simply because they have a scouting system that works. That's the point though. They have a better scouting system than most but will they carry on finding these players? It'd be a better prospect to sign their scouts rather than their players.

Like another poster has said, with the shares textor bought plus the current value of the club, they've already made maybe 150% of their original investment, which is all well and good if their investment transformed the club but it hasnt. What football fan wants shareholder's taking profit from the club with no investment ?

It's been a clever, data driven process. But more clubs are starting to use that approach. It's probably more wishful thinking on my part, but I'm waiting for the wheels to come off !

This is a very depressing time what with Liverpool closing in on Doucoure and Man City still sniffing around EZE. Why doesn't the board just tell the so call 'Big Clubs' to sod-off? Even if we were to get £70M for each of them we will not have time to spend any of it! And why doesn't the transfer window shut at the start of the season? We will have to go through all this again in January.

Although every player ultimately has a price, to sell now without a ready made replacement lined up would be stupid - and Parish is not that.

When the new stand has been mentioned he is always begging for more money from others. Textor came in later you do not even know this it was the other two which came in early making the largest gain. The club has transformed not on great scale but it is now a Prem club and we have training plus academy up to a proper standard. If two of those Americans didn't come in the club was in trouble again this is all out of SP own mouth not your made up world. Football fans can want as they see fit doesn't make it the case and how about all those fans buy the club run it as they see fit. I will agree with we should be doing more but to discredit we have done anything shows you are delusional
