Even with the change of personel there is no way we should be losing that game .
Wolves couldn't believe their luck in being gifted the opener and set their game up from that point onward to not concede . We obliged in not threatening the goal with any real intent bar a couple of efforts fro Eze.
Conceding early really did for us ,with their noses in front Wolves could sit back and well , that was that .

The Johnston error was IMO because we were chasing the game moving into added time ,I think he just boots that clear if we didn't need to retain possesion . I hope nobody was too hard on him ,he looked destroyed .

One we just have to take on the chin , we were not good enough in creating anything worthwhile and as mention a trillion times over the past few years ...We still need a Striker.

Our game plan was shot in the first 90 seconds conceding a silly own goal. They just sat back a defended with elbow’s frequently shoved in our faces, which Mr Jones seemed to think was acceptable. We started to get back into the game, but couldn’t break down their solid defence, they are a boring team to watch.
Everyone keeping on about needing a striker is pointless, we all know, but they are as rare as hens teeth unless you have unlimited money.
The criticism of Mitchell is unwarranted, he is often left exposed with no support, unless Ayew in front of him, he is very quick as seen as he chased down Costa, who was odds on to score.

Think it can be easy to over-analyse the game.

We actually played quite well, we’re unlucky to lose…it happens!

Pleased with Richard’s performance - Anderson could be out at the weekend.

To take 10 points from recent games moves us into the comfort zone!

I thought we played quite well as well. Other than the ricochet 1st and the pen we dominated it. Especially with the changes we made.

The whole midfield, forward and right back.

All I can think is that Roy rested them for sat and to give them a run out to see what they could do.

Those calling for Mateta, I have a feeling Roy decided he wasn't good enough in his last stint. The fact he's barely playing suggests his mind hasn't changed.

Can you be worse than not good enough, because Edouard appears to fall into that category. Of the two I think Mateta offers marginally more but I’d try one of the youngsters, they can’t do any worse than the pair we have.

I agree, but my point is that I don't think Roy agrees. I think Dougie and his team have made some fantastically astute signings in all areas of the pitch except when it comes to the striker. I also agree that we might as well give one of the U21 strikers some minutes. Is it possible to be worse than Edouard has been? As good as Ayew has been on the left he showed last night why he is not the answer. A few times he was only 6-8 yards from the goal and you never felt like there was any danger he'd score or provide an assist. Wilf is probably our best finisher so maybe just stick him down the middle once he's fit.

Totaly agree, with Mateta starting, infact, every game until the end of the season, i think most fans have decided that Edouard is not good enough, these games should tell us if Mateta is worth keeping.

I don’t think we will see Edouard or Mateta start once Zaha is back on Saturday. 2 players completely out of their depth.

When It comes to Mateta, I just think he was actually pretty effective when he got a run of games at the end of last season. I found it was inexplicable that PV suddenly dropped him for OE at the beginning of this campaign. He hasn't really had a prelonged stint in the team since.

The word Sorloth springs to mind, but i know what you mean its like saying whats worse toothache or earache
