To add to that I do believe most of these measures will require a vote in Parliament. According to the media Truss doesn't have the numbers for the 45% rate cut.

Everyone knows what is meant by the question. Who voted for Truss/Truss’s policies? We know how the constitution works, but when leaders completely change the policies or manifesto then it’s expected they get questioned, and she knows hardly anybody has had a say in this. Problem is because it’s happened before with Labour we go round in circles with whataboutery.

I've just seen her on Tv where she tells the interviewer that is was 'The Chancellors' decision to reverse the 45% tax rate decision. That is the worst you can get. Announcing the policy in the first place, defending the policy whole - heartedly only 24 hours ago, U-turning this morning and then not having the face to own up to her own failings but throwing her chancellor to the dogs: spineless chancer. My goodness me. Come on out, you Tory supporters on here and defend that.

So now you write that it was a bad decision. Yup, hindsight is a wonderful thing indeed. Lol Thank you for telling us how politics works. I would imagine that it involves showing a (public) united front, no matter what. If you're trying to convince that, all along, the PM was telling us that it was an independent decision by the chancellor to scrap the 45% rate and then that it was his decision alone to reverse that call, then you are in a foggy place. Funny how, when it comes to a Labour mishap or wrong decision, you are so unforgiving. But then, I suppose, in your God-like image, you can decide what the rules are, eh? Anyway, apart from that, I just totally disagree with the direction of travel of the Cons, regardless of what happens on the way. I did forecast that public spending cuts would be on the way with this woman and her cronies. Not wrong, I suspect.

Politician who refuses to change their mind on a controversial measure: Out of touch with the voters, intransigent, uncaring etc. Politician who listens and admits mistakes: U Turn, weak, wobbly, dithering Some times you can't win.
