What a relief - Stokes traps Smith lbw. 78-3 a good morning, and you notice how slow the runs come compared to yesterday.

Totally flat pitch, sunny, need a plan for Khawaja. Best one I can come up with is dolly him out by giving the ball air - but could cost any amount of runs.

When the shock declaration came I instantly thought of the Hansie Cronje declaration, all rather odd. He declared a good few years ago. Great cricketer though.

Not a fun way to go though. 20 years ago. Just after he was found guilty of fixing games. Only him and two pilots when it crashed. Now that is a real conspiracy for the hard of understanding

Think they (England)have blown it,with this pitch the best we could get now is a draw ,been 300 for 7 may be but 300 5 we will see

Bairstow also dropped one, he would still get a place for his batting and his fielding is ok, but Foakes is clearly the better wicket-keeper and unjustly dropped. However we are where we are, hoping for an early break-through. Not sure about fitness, I think England could look quite different by the end of the series.
