Someone mentioned the Austrian method of dealing with it.

If he does come forward it would be difficult for anyone to package this in any way that shows him in a good light. Originally posted by Jimenez

I liked the Austrian deal too - everyone knows where they stand / what the rules are - Originally posted by The Dolphin

Only just read about it myself. [Link] At least City have apologised immediately. The silence from Everton is deafening

Yeah I doubt bans are going to be effective, how do you even police that. Mug shots on every turnstile?! Fining the club isn't likely to be effective either as the fines are usually quite minor, especially compared to the number of stewards you'd need to stop thousands intent on getting onto the pitch. Docking points could be a solution, at least you'd have fans self policing I guess

If you consider the awful behaviour of English fans at Wembley last summer at the Euros final, the emergence of lads coking themselves up when going to the football (been a lot of that at Selhurst and away) and all the aggressive, violent behaviour during pitch invasions this week it feels as though something bad is going to happen unless the authorities take immediate action. Post COVID things have got a lot worse and I have no faith in the FA solving the issue. Agree. Fans in this country are symptomatic of a wider problem. It's been said before; In this country fans (when in groups especially) are not Passionate, they are Aggressive. They lose any respect for others, and think that they are faceless in the crowd.

Seems the junior bin-dippers want PV charged after Thurs . . . [Link]
This operation, will make the 'Charge Of The Light Brigade' seem like a simple military exercise. |
