Neither Tories nor Labour are fit for purpose.

Agreed mate. I would like a different system but the current one obviously suits them. There is a big danger here for both main parties. If labour really want to shoot themselves in the foot, this should provide the ammunition as they will be competing with other left leaning parties such as liberals and greens. more importantly I think this topic is more divisive than Brexit and on a similar polarisation 52:48 would be more like 65:35. So, if the Conservatives drift towards being anti these sort of trans rights then they would probably secure a victory at the polls. Otherwise if they try to ‘out trans’ labour, I see another single issue party taking the spoils, if not outright then by major sized coalition situation.
hats off to palace, they were always gonna be louder, and hate to say it but they were impressive ALL bouncing and singing. |

Can we talk about Sturgeon and her outrage in this topic or is that for elsewhere?

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!! |

Good point to be fair - it is more about her than the subject matter.

Maybe when I'm not there it's the sole topic of conversation. I can't offhand remember anyone being particularly pro-Sturgeon. There are obviously a few in favour of independence but even they appreciate the difficulties involved.

Many years ago when feminists started to invade men's space e.g. The Long Room at Lords golf clubs or some Victorian men's club, I used to say careful what you wish for. At the time I jokingly assumed that some bearded men would demand entrance to a female only health club in retaliation, well it didn't really happen as men have better things to do. I never dreamt that today bearded women / men would be doing this on a regular basis and it's not funny. No doubt the claim for compo is in the post.

Without being unkind this doesn't look like a longstanding problem.
