Okay then with last season we had an experienced manager in Roy who had the team playing within their means ie not having our centre backs think there prime ramos Also he seemed to keep the players grounded and knew what everyone was doing Well drilled outfit we was called all that was needed was a bit more flair and with that solid base and foundation we would do enough to get through games atm I don’t see that once again I’m hearing if that benteke chance goes in but did you honestly think we deserved to win tonight or on sat against Villa I can just see us struggling again the jimmy Mac missing in the middle is so crucial

Stop it.

Christ alive. There's a bit of a difference between coming 4th in the league and turning over a clear relegation candidate, particularly when they are pretty poor.

I've been supoprting this team for 729 years, so my view trumps yours.

You can stop it too.

Pretty narked off by Guehi's lack of self-discipline to concede injury time penalty. It really was a moment of madness.

A bit harsh, I don't think he intentionally stopped the ball going in with his arm.

I counted four times (no doubt there were more) where Ayew and Zaha had the better of their defence and were fouled resulting in free kicks facing a resolute and well organised defence compared to one in mild panic, I don't seem to recall Leeds having one situation where we resorted to fouling them, these moments are always overlooked by absolutely everyone and these are the moments where we score.

After the first half I just felt that Leeds were going to nick it late on.

I don't think we played that well too many big names had an off night, Leeds were there for the taking.

Well PV is going to earn his money now the honeymoon period is over and he will have to find a way to get results.

Pretty much.

How many chances does Benteke need to score? 4,5,6?

We’re still a work in progress .
Nobody can dispute Ayew’s hard work and ability to carry the ball. However, his choice and timing of pass and shooting ability leave a lot to be desired.
Nobody can dispute Schlupp’s drive and athleticism, but I don’t think even his best friend would describe him as a central midfield player.
Olise and Eze are probably our best options in terms of creative spark and playing the right weight of pass into the penalty area for Edouard to finish.
But can you play a team accommodating Zaha, Eze, Olise, Edouard and Gallagher without unbalancing other areas?
And Vieira is likely to add Benteke into that mix too because of what he can offer.
The return of Mcarthur will help because he seems to be the glue that makes the rest of the team tick; but he can’t go on forever.

With 5 minutes to go I just had this terrible feeling they would score. Anxiety.
Common amongst Palace fans I suspect.

More like the experience of watching Palace over many years.

I like Guehi but he needs to sharpen up his brain in the box.
He caused a Benteke goal to be ruled out a few weeks ago with a needless tug on a defender who wouldn’t have got near Benteke. Then last night.
I hope it’s just a blip and not a ongoing issue with him.

The beatings will stop when morale improves.

Leeds are a bang average team at the moment. I'm disappointed that we weren't able to come away with a point at the very least, but you know what ? - we are becoming this seasons Brighton.

Plenty of possession, easy on the eye, but failing to turn draws into wins and narrow defeats into draws ( in the last 2 games ). Benteke, even if much improved, is our Maupay - needs multiple chances to convert one.

Sunday will be a tough one, would have preferred facing Utd a couple of weeks ago. We then have fixtures against our peer group, Everton, Saints and Watford - we need to pick up points from those games.
