Cheers, I know you follow the underage quite a bit more than me too. I just watch a game if I think about it near the time and I'm bored (it's pretty boring in general these days though, goes without saying).

Seen U23 a few times and agree with your assessment. Woods loan to Plymouth may be good move. He is still only 21, perhaps more first team squad time next season

I've watched most of the U23 home games this year and Woods is the one player who has been consistently good and I reckon he's actually ready to be given some opportunities off the first team bench. Will be interesting to see how he fares at Plymouth. He could be the solution for a young CB next year to help the old crocks out.

As for the other names; not yet convinced they're ready to dip their toes in PL football, Those out on loan should learn a lot and hopefully we'll learn a lot about them.

Given that it's looks like no further transfer activity within this window, it's going to prove to be a helluva busy one in the next transfer window given the number of players whose contracts run out.

Well, there could be a surprise.

Sky reporting Roy reckons there won’t be any deals today. He expects Benteke and PVA to stay.

I'm fine with that no point helping out other PL clubs. Besides we have no idea how the new striker will perform.

In the summer PVA will leave or sign a new contract. Benteke can just go.

It is also the model of possibility that we could find ourselves being a Championship club in the summer.

Well, no more deals now is reasonable. We have a new ST which was an area to improve.
Buying other players at this stage, with a team more or less settled, with no urgency as we're basically safe, wouldn't make sense.
Buying an old player and paying a big wage to finish 12th rather than 13th, or buying a young player and keep him on the bench doesn't make sense now.
I did hope to have Benteke off to cut wages, but I guess that will be left for the summer...

It could also possibly happen that we are all underwater caused by a sudden inexplicable rise in sea level.
