Sorry to disappoint you. Then allow me to enlighten you. Your fanciful analogy has clear and undeniable political aspirations. BLM, as a political movement, does too but what the players are doing does not. They are just supporting a concept that has caught the imagination of many people and are publically demonstrating it. That they are doing so with the backing of the FA, their employers and the government ought to inform you that this has nothing whatsoever to do with politics. Neither the FA the clubs or most of all a Tory government would encourage our football players to offer support to any organisation with the political outlook of BLM. It's a preposterous concept. Whether it has run it's course and should now be retired is another question but questioning the motives of the players and booing them are both completely unacceptable. Having read the thread I find some of the comments disturbing. Which is putting it mildly. Some people seem in total denial of their racist nature. It reads like a skinhead reunion.
For the avoidance of doubt any comments in response to a previous post are directed to its ideas and not at any, or all, posters personally. |

The ones who based their early look on Rude Boy fashion and listened almost exclusively to ska, blue beat and reggae? Black skinheads must have been confused.

Absolute crock! It will annoy those who refuse to confront their own ignorant and unfortunately their are so many amongst football supporters as racism has been on display for decades within football and the football world has long been weak against it! What is not surprising but sad is that palace have for more than40 years had very popular black players who have suffered racial abuse when they come out on the pitch both home and away, so want to put this out there to make people look at themselves and stop it!! Why fight that?

No. The more recent manifestations that are associated with extreme right-wing politics and neo-fascism. OK, because the difference matters.
