Excellent bit of business. A natural finisher.

Very happy at this. I think if Woy manages to play Ayew and Bats upfront they can get atleast 25 goals between them. Really need to change up the dynamic this season.

Maybe a mod could move this to general talk now he's signed? I feel Batshuayi will come in for Townsend ultimately. That means a rejig of the front line but I hope Ayew stays as a sort of inside right/not-quite-a-striker type. I think Batshuayi will get about 12-15 goals and 3-5 assists if he stays fit. Andros got one of each last year. All equal, that implies he could be worth maybe 10 more points. However, we clearly have horrendous injury trouble and I don't like either full back for the Saints game at all. We are also markedly less defensive if we have Bats in and Andros out. That could make the points addition fanciful, turning us into a more frail team defensively. I do wonder where Eze will fit in.
If you want to live in a world full of kindness, respect and love, try to show these qualities. |

Its a good loan deal, if Wilf stays with Batsman Ayew Eze plus pierrick ferguson and mitchell we are lacking in pace sure we can get round that

Eze will fit in because we do not need 3 holding midfielders for every single game. Man C away or Norwich at home, we always play the same. The fact that we have 3 holding midfielders only serves to invite the other team on. Their full backs can get up, and we have low possession stats. With more threat in midfield and up front we should cause more problems than the usual fast out-ball to Wilf. Teams figure us out, they double up or just foul Wilf and our goal threat is gone. One or two more youngsters - hopefully Flynn Downes and we should be in much better shape.

The great thing about this deal is that Michy brings a lift to the whole squad. He is such an infectious character that apart from the goals we hope he scores there is a positivity about him which will enthuse the rest of the squad and lift their performance. COYP

The only negatives are he cannot head the ball at all or battle defenders with his back to them on the halfway line. When he’s working in combination with decent players in the final third he’s very good for us.
