I can no longer be bothered to try to engage in any kind of meaningful debate with them as I have learned, as so many others have over the years, that it's a waste of time. The good news is that it's only a small, fringe, element of society that thinks this way. I comfort myself by the knowledge that David Icke exists and that some people also actually believe what he says. The group here fall into the same general category. The irony of your reply is that you have never engaged in meaningful debate because you have made it clear that anyone who does not share your views are wrong.

TBF it wouldn’t be the first time Police/authorities have turned a blind eye to abuse, possibly as some may have been involved. Jimmy Saville/Cyril Smith spring to mind. Definitely. Ultimately, while the Police are the only legal defence against chaos, they are also the arm of the establishment. And as aspects of the establishment are corrupt and seek to gaslight and hide the truth Police management...whose positions are given by that establishment are no different. However, in keeping with fairness, when a contention has been made it's only right to ask for evidence. I have an open mind on the matter.

WE has never been misrepresented by me. He's said this before and I've asked for him to specifically state what has been misrepresented. I have his statements and so I say again, what have I misrepresented?

Here endeth the lesson from one of the most patronising arrogant people I have had the misfortune to come into contact with. I can understand why, from the peculiar perspective of the reactionary mob that use this as their hangout, you might regard me as "patronising and arrogant". Those who actually know me would, I feel very confident, describe me as modest and unassuming, although also diligent and tenacious. You obviously don't enjoy your hypocrisy and frequent forays into the world of dubious, and nowadays unacceptable opinions, being identified and called out. If you ventured out of this dark little corner and stuck your heads into places where "normal" people go I suspect you would encounter many more voices like mine.

Oh I can and do respect many other views. Just not those that are so frequently to be found here. You clearly don't recognise just what a nasty cesspool of opinions exists here, as you think they are all either right or deserving or respect. They aren't. Some of what appears here even expresses the kind of views that the social media companies are now trying to ban. You would no doubt moan about "free speech" being denied but I wouldn't. You think that is rude and/or an insult. For me it's the truth which needs to be said unequivocally. Not all views are equal! Sorry, but that's a fact you are going to have to learn to live with.

I have his statements and so I say again, what have I misrepresented? You have frequently misrepresented what I have said and I have repeatedly corrected you. You repost my statements, and your comments on them, and I will show you, once again, why they misrepresent me. You, quite deliberately in my opinion, choose to misinterpret my remarks about how and why the Police and other authorities responded. And then you continued to post "my" opinions as being something they aren't, and never were. For the avoidance of any doubt whatsoever I regard the criminal activity of anyone grooming and abusing children as the most abhorrent of activities and thoroughly deserving of severe punishment. I also believe that we need to support the Police in their work to detect, and bring to justice, those involved, whilst being mindful of the restrictions they have to work under and the lack of resources they frequently have to work with. That's not "defending" criminals at all. It's encouraging realism and for us all to get behind our Police rather than seeking to make their work, and that of those bringing the prosecutions, more difficult.

Think we should send the refugees here watch them change their tune when they start punching all the gays.

I have no problem believing this. It just confirms my prejudices in this area that areas of the Police are compromised in terms of toadying towards their elites rather than adherence towards the law itself. However, the nature of this kind of crime isn't something which can be proven without corroborating evidence to back claims. I suspect that where that existed we saw the three convictions. How hard they tried when looking....I'm open minded towards the criticism that it was lukewarm though how could I know. Nevertheless I suspect at least a significant proportion of this is true given the number of claims and the lack of care placed into the type of person working with vulnerable children. I agree that this exists as a scar and a warning from history where injustice has been allowed to stand and destroy lives. I see parallels here but I would criticise your stance with this as opposed to your stance on the systematic rapes of tens of thousands of non Muslim girls by a single community. Your comments on here show your focus was upon criticism of those who shouted about it rather than how or why it happened....in stark contrast to your position here.
