On the train home...

That was shocking! Spiritless and just awful to watch.

Out fought, out tackled, out pressed and outplayed. Don’t expect anything whatsoever from the Sheffield Utd. game either as they’ll do exactly he same to us...just as they did earlier n the season in our first away game.

We are just so dire at home, another game with so little attacking purpose and zero threat on the opponents goal. No corners and did we even have an attempt on target?!

Let’s just hope Norwich, Villa and Bournemouth keep on losing because one win in nine, we are in trouble.

Luck and gambling will only take you so far in this league and we are overdrawn already. Its an up or out league. Roy is no winning genius. A full lifetime punctuated by dramatic under-perfomances and a couple of lucky streaks. from managing liverpool to the national team. Respect him for saving us but his ambitions are so divorced from those of the players. No wonder the Zahas want to leave. Thank you Sir Roy, but please for the love of the progression of the club, please move on!

One win in nine or three wins in eleven depending on how you look at it.

One really bad night and it's all doom and gloom. Face it lads our attacking options are seriously impaired at the moment and have been for some time, the driving force from the back is non existant as PVA and Schlupp are injured, Townsend is badly missed in midfield, sadly their replacements are not the same type of player. This is not really Roys fault but a lack of depth in the squad.
I think tonight we actually missed Luka.

Agree with gerry. The criticisms of Zaha are hard. They triple marked him as we had no threat elsewhere and then niggle fouled him constantly. We have to provide a threat elsewhere or he gets no space.
A midfield of Kouyate, Mcarthy, MCarthur just will not create enough and Ayew is not effective out wide. We miss Townsend and we need Roy to sacrifice all that defensive midfield and just give Meyer a constant set of games.
Playing Southampton is like playing Italian teams all little fouls and play acting, dreadful.

We lost a game and all the haters start to hate etc.

We are still having a good season overall.

The moaning gets very boring

I think Wilf, as our best player, still needs to be more mature. He's not a kid but still reacts like one sometimes.

Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance.

It was SOOO stupid to get rid of AWB. The right back errors have cost us at least 11 points so far this season. when we get relegated we will see if the 50mil was worth it.

Yet again we come out at home and allow the opposition to take the initiative and dictate the game from the word go. We were overrun and looked like a League 2 side fighting a rearguard battle against a Premier League side.

Why oh why can't we take the game to the opposition for once. Fair enough if we are playing City or Liverpool, but when we are up against teams around us in the league we ought to be able to compete and not just sit back. That was truly awful.

We need a ball player. If Roy doesn’t think Meyer is the answer then Parish needs to get his cheque book out.

I'm not sure he'll get the chance, but Riedewald could fit the bill. He's calm in possession and does look for a pass. He could grow into the Cabaye role

I

I agree with you but the manner of the defeat was not good at all.
I was one who thought Luca needed a rest but now want him back for sure.
Our midfield was lacking everything good it had on Saturday.
There is something wrong with sitting back so feel at home - we need to be proactive not reactive.
A poor night indeed.
