I get that. But if people don’t like having an ill-informed opinion criticized, then perhaps they shouldn’t post.

I do recognise that. But there's a difference between having a (sometimes passionate) opinion and just talking bollocks.

The manager has made it clear,it’s a situation that needs addressing, if we want sustainable progress, and as his tactics and use of average players out of their best positions is one good reason for us having that many points. Then it is adequate for now in his hands. Going forward very doubtful.

Never really understood the sense of urgency to replace AWB. Before he emerged it didn't seem as if a new right back was urgently required, so he was basically a massive bonus. That's why selling him made such sense - we got top money for a player we already had cover for in the squad. Personally I also think that Schlupp is our best left back, even if he prefers to play on the wing. He's far more than just makeshift cover. By all means plan long term by trying to get a promising youngster, or even get an established senior upgrade if a great deal comes along, but we surely have other priorities. When you have the kind of money that changes hands in these deals, caution. Is totally expected. Sometimes you miss a bullet, but sometimes you miss a good deal.
