Was at work so had to make do with the painfully slow BBC text updates, but this appeared at least 4 times that I saw throughout the game. I quite like PVA but was he really unable to stay onside at least once? The 2nd for Spurs he attempted to pass the ball 3 times in the space of 10 seconds without once hitting his target. Wilf twice and then a cross field pass that did not even lift of the ground. Awful. Edit: Wilf was a yard away from him on both occasions.. Edited by A89M (04 Apr 2019 1.43pm)

To get some perspective, we have been beaten away from home by a top 6 team. And not thrashed either. But it was the manner of the defeat that was disappointing. I thought we did well to still be level at half time because Spurs were playing some decent stuff. Survive for the 10-15 mins of the 2nd half and they could become frustrated. But having conceded on 55 mins, that was the time for Roy to gamble and try something different and he didn't do it. I've staunchly defended Roy on here against some ( in my opinion ) unwarranted criticism, but the timing of the substitutions was wrong tonight. Spot on, we were saying exactly this last night! Even when they then went to 3 at the back...no change of formation to match or putting an extra striker up front...f***ing clueless. What a stadium though...completely wasted on their fans...if they ever learn to sing more than the one song...on for longer than 10mins a match the place will be a fortress! Best chant of the night "is this the emerates"

I am no more impressed with our continued lacklustre performances than anyone else but surely the problem goes deeper than the impact Roy has. What do the coaching staff do with our players each week? How can any team win a football match without having shots on goal? We seem to be clueless once we go behind and show a complete lack of ambition. It's the same old $hite every match ... BORING BORING BORING. It's all to do with teh way that roy sets the team up...defensively. The full backs aren't allowed to pass the half way line, the midfielders never/rarely have a forward option to pass the ball, instead passing sideways or backwards and the striker runs for nothing 85mins of the game. Then what happens is we conceded and the team is either too shattered to come back or Roy insists on keeping the shape that has played a part in us going behind in the first place.....MADNESS

Every time I get on this site to vent my anger, frustration and confusion about this team I see that at least 100 other people beat me to it. I guess that's what it means to be a Palace (sufferer) fan. What a crap performance yesterday. Something has to change. On another note....good old Frank DeBoer is just as bad here in the states as he was in PL. His Atlanta squad in dead last...players like their manager...clueless.

We are basically Shiite playing the way we are at present. There is no way of sugar coating it. We have no players, not one, who wants to win the ball in midfield. We are no good in the air, at holding the ball up or passing. How the f..k anyone thinks we are going to win a game against a team that actually wants to win is beyond me. Spurs wanted to win tonight and we capitulated from the first minute. Spot on...Spurs played to win....Palace played to NOT lose, but in classic Palace form...they did anyway.

I never thought I would say this but we looked a much better unit when Benteke came on. if we had played the whole match like the last ten minutes it would have been a good game to watch. I don't think Batshuay got his head on the ball once but they kept pumping it up to him. If you play him as a lone striker it must be to feet. Very disappointed we did not contribute to the occasion.

At Newcastle I wouldn't be surprised to see Benteke start with Batshuayi on the bench.

Of course we did. He can head the ball, and is a decent target man who can hold the ball up. We played long ball. Batshuayi is none of that. You dont need a UEFA coaching license to figure that one out.

Best chant of the night "is this the emerates" Yes - I thought it was superb. However, the transport infrastructure remains the same but now with nearly twice the number of spectators. Something that seemed lost on the Spurs fan I was talking to who said usually they can walk straight into Seven Sisters tube station without having to queue ! He did however compliment the Palace support and was impressed with the number of different songs we have.

Will only ever go to a 3pm kick off on a Saturday where I can hang around in the pub for a couple of hours after to let it quiet down.
