In the past I'd be offended as a forever law-abiding black man to be stopped and searched. But if it drastically reduces this knife crime problem and helps create an environment where I can bring a child into this world without the fear of him getting sliced up over an argument, then I'm all for it. Stop and search and increased penalties for knife possession are a good place to start. A side note too, whilst it is black kids killing black kids, we need to look at it more than just a black problem.

IMO priority must be given to kids who have been expelled from school, there appears to be no track of them. A tough but fair approach is required, but its very depressing to see the government and opposition have little interest in this major problem.

Like muslim rape gangs are an Asian problem We could keep going. It's not racist to acknowledge a section of society in a multi cultural society who are miss behaving. People wanted MULTIPLE cultures then they have to acknowledged the bad side as well as the good instead of brushing it under the carpet Edited by dannyboy1978 (11 Mar 2019 1.09pm)

However, different groups have different mainstream cultures for different reasons. The risk of violence differs. Essentially this isn't really a solvable problem in my opinion. The best that can be done is the application of plasters.....no doubt racial profiling and being very strict with being found with a knife is an obvious route. It's the kind of painfully obvious stuff that the do gooders stopped......The left calling people with common sense all sorts of names for decades........Most of them never really lived with the problem of course. ..apparently they should be stop and searching little old ladies as well otherwise they are racists.....Look at the left now....now they just look the other way and talk about Police cuts.....when previous decades had proportionally less Police and lower crime. The upshot being far more dead people.....but still, they got to feel good about themselves by signalling about 'institutional racism' and other such bullcrap. There needs to be work within the black community to address the problems of their underclass not taking responsibility over their chidlren's behaviour. Where are the old school socially conservative types? Not enough tough love from within that community to sort itself out. All been known for decades.....one thing you learn early in life....if you take notice.....Nothing ever really changes.

The Windrush Generation were well known as tough parents so it’s possible that the next generation took a more relaxed attitude toward child rearing. That combined with the rise in “blended families” seems to have created a lot of youngsters feeling isolated and so more susceptible to gang membership and peer pressure. The popularity of rap and drill music seems to fetishise violence and bling culture. Schools have no sanctions except exclusion.

Broken homes, teenage single mums, runaway dad's deliberately seeking 'baby mummies as a badge of honour, long term welfare dependency, The destruction of the nuclear family through cultural Marxism, fiscal policy madness where the working classes are rewarded for living broken lives. Rampant imbalances in gender profile of immigrants making men all disposable and interchangeable. Let the taxpayer pick up the tab. Nothing to do with copper numbers on the street. Raising antisocial toerags with no boundaries in every council estate is the problem.
