PL clubs can only register 2 players on loan at any one time.

The maximum permitted in a season is 4 and not more than 1 can be from the same club at any one time.

Isn’t that UK loans? I think the rules for European loans are differentt.

Indeed.I should have mentioned that the rules related to English clubs.

With the exception of Welsh clubs, loans from a club from another another National Association do not count towards the parameters I mentioned.

Seven players out,we may yet sign the Brazilian keeper, but with no more outfield players signed the question remains, can our existing squad ,paper thin as it is, keep us up ,assuming no injuries???

Yes but no injuries is a huge assumption and one that could quite easily sound our death knell as a Premiership club.

Remember last year when both Dann and Puncheon suffered injuries in the same match that kept them both out for a year

We have also loaned out the youngsters that were probably the closest to the first team such as Kirby and Innis. As I said elsewhere, if Jairo goes then we have no cover for Luka and Kouyate in the holding roles and no cover on the wings. Meyer would probably fill in, but I would not say either is his best position. Up top we have one fully-fit striker and two making a slow comeback from long-term injuries. We surely can't afford to go into February with no new outfield players? I'm fairly confident we won't won't, but if we do it is a genuine worry even for an optimist like me.

Good post. I agree that we won't go into February without new additions, and I agree that if we do then we should be worried.

I still think we have enough in the tank to stay up, but an injury or two and we will certainly be looking over our shoulders.

However, is it just me? Or is the whole transfer market really quiet this year?

I note the Zaha transfer rumours are now starting ( this time to Dortmund).
I’m just surprised that it’s taken until the last week of the window for Zaha to be linked with anyone!
His representatives usually seem pretty busy having him linked with different clubs.
I don’t for one moment see him leaving this window and still think we’ll bring in at least two players but not until the end of the window.

No-one bought yet, perhaps we will get a new signing at the last minute - perhaps not. Regardless, we will not see them until at least a month later - when Roy decides they have gelled. May get four or five minutes a game out of any new striker - so don't expect any goals. I would have liked early and decisive signings. Why bother even thinking about it? It is the Palace way.

Other than the Keeper crisis, (which maybe Perri solves?), I won't be that bothered if we don't get anyone new in.

Roy has Tekkers, Wickham and Dann which he pretty much hasn't been able to select all season.
Yes a few players have gone out, but no one of consequence (impact wise I see Wickham as an upgrade on Sorloth)

I'd like an attacking mid, but Roy has one in Meyer and he barely plays him.

Given the wages crunch, I'd rather save the room for the summer, when Roy might not be here (so give a new Manager the cash), and go for RLC.
